I swear if I see one more person/blogger/news-article/YouTuber say "Microsoft Update that broke computers worldwide" about the *CrowdStrike* fiasco I will flip.
And half of those don't even get the rest of the story correctly either, just make up bullshit for the sake of publishing a story.

@electrineer I saw a LOT of times the CrowdsTrike update being confused for a regular Microsoft Windows update. Both in places like news articles, blogs, YouTube vids etc', and just between people's conversations.

As an example of the latter, I was in a discord call with a few people (not even non-technical people, just not programmers) somebody complained about a drawing tablet that stopped working, and the first advice was "Oh, did you update Windows recently? Yeah Microsoft published an update that broke half the computers on the planet, it's probably that", and it took me an actual few minutes to convince them that it wasn't a windows update, and they didn't believe me at first. Somebody else even try to correct me that CrowdStrike is a part of Microsoft.
So yeah, there's a lot of people who think this is Microsoft's fault and their update, and they they think that becauae of missreporting on the internet by non-tech news.
