When people write </sarcasm>, the unmatched tag makes me feel all itchy.

@tosensei Mixed case in tag names is an abomination.

The one who invented html tags like meta and link who don't need a closing tag or a / at the end should die. Today.

Wrote a html parser and it was a nastii exception

I recently saw an unopened </p> tag in a website's source view. I wondered, when browsers have implicit auto-closing rules, maybe we should define unofficial de-facto standard for inserting implicit missing opening tags as well. I mean, it does work in human communication as </sarcasm> proves

@retoor Death would be too good for him.

Especially if it's the same person who decided that <script src="ffs.js" /> has to be <script src="ffs.js"></script>.

Use <sarcasm /> instead. ... Wait, are we still doing /> for unmatched single tags? I can't remember anymore. God a I hate SGML/HTML/XML/XHTML/HTML5 and whatever hell comes next.

    Also "/s" makes more sense.
