github95487yI think it should have been given to users on how they wanted it.
Slowing down a system for improved Battery performance may not give everyone a good UX.
And, something that's really BUGGING ME is that nowadays, companies are trying to fix HARDWARE BUGS using SOFTWARE, which is very poor.
Build the HARDWARE of good quality. If this is the trend, hardwares are never gonna be of good quality. -
github95487y@HAlex I agree. Even they know it wasn't the right way, and hence was hidden for so long.

donuts236727yOptions is the answer. For all tech there is 2 groups of users: admins, everyone else.
iOS and maybe Windows 8+ (app store stuff) don't want the first group using them. -
I am totally ok with their decision, but I am even more ok with their attempt to apologize. 29€ instead of 79€ for a new battery till end of 2018 is quite nice 😁

Goldalex477yBullshit. You pay for a device just like you pay for a computer. It has a clock speed and X amount of ram. They can't suddenly decide to cap your device just cause their OS might make the battery explody. Make a better OS then.

I’m sure y’all have heard about apple fucking with their phones processors.
I have an iPhone, and I’m totally ok with it. The apple community is complaining about it. The fact is that it’s apple’s choice for the UX, and it’s not a problem.
