Shouldn't we all celebrate our new year according to Unix Timestamp??

    No, Unix timestamp doesn't have years. It's just a bunch of numbers 😄

    @LeFlawk Not really. Unix timestamp is just seconds, you can parse them into proper dates sure but it in itself is just seconds. The notion of new year doesn't exist in unix timestamp since the notion of a year doesn't,it's just seconds.

    Unix time stamp is to date what ASCII codes are to letters.

    Also, can we call it epoch time, please? I have only ever heard old people who used Unix in the '80s call it the Unix timestamp.
