cursee165987yThere are indeeed other quicker ways to arouse your mind.
Which I won't share though. 😏 -
@CurseMeSlowly I figured this would be the response to "arouse", but it fit so I left it xD

Heh, that's right up my alley!
Mostly I too drive if I have the need to clear my mind, though I like to go on the freeway.
Running is also great, especially when it rains with inear headphones and a thin plastic coat, so you hear the rain hitting it.
Other times I have also just grabbed my folding table and chair and went into the "hills" or woods to drink some soup and read something. -
@CurseMeSlowly GitHub arouses your mind, PornHub arouses...oh wait, this isn't the place for that? XD

agaskins5897yThere is something about driving that is meditative... I love it when I get in that zen state where you don’t even have a thought in your mind about driving but you’re driving flawlessly, with amazing response time to things (despite how counter intuitive this sounds) and you just think so deeply about whatever is on your mind! It truly amazes me how much work it takes with meditation to reach this sort of state compared to just driving around alone for a few minutes. I’ve found a few other tasks that can induce this sort of state... some video games, repetitive tasks like organizing/counting large quantities of small items, biking, walking (to a lesser degree), and of course meditation / breathing exercises (whether its to quiet your mind or to focus intensely on one thing alone). There’s more that I can’t recall atm I’m sure... I bet if I went for a drive I’d have some more ideas to share on this, haha

Where do you go/what do you do when you need to think out a problem?
Me, I take a drive. I'm not sure why but I seem to achieve maximum clairvoyance while driving around. Moreso at night than during the day, but the effect is still there when the sun is up. It's kind of weirdly meditative, to drive autonomously, only hearing the drone of the engine and whisper of the tires.
I know a lot of people resort to showers, or straight meditation, but I was curious if there were other, quirkier things people do to arouse their mind.
