It's got to be better than selling toasters and vinyl flooring to people who can't even spell their own names. Heard someone in my town order "a McDouble....but the chicken one" and a "mcdurble fry" within the same two minute window earlier this week. There are worse things than dev.

@nosoup4u I saw a McDonalds drive in video where someone had previously shot up the outside menu. So yeah, true future scientists and doctors shopping there.

The one good thing about dev. People, even other devs, don't really know what you are doing to a fine level of detail (at least where I work). So if you feel like fucking off and reading documentation about some other programming topic or interest you can. I will get burnt out during the day and take short mental breaks reading random tech topics. Even about other programming languages. Not sure why it is a break though.

Something good happens when you take on the responsibility of creating something good, and stop expecting others to create it for you as if they owe it to you.

Go figure.

I think the problem is opposite. Being a dev is too good and we already exhausted all the rants per dev, so now people just post memes, spam and junk

I just want to build robots and study astronomy, everything from gaming to building a cool website bores me now, It's not worth the headache trying to complete with large companies, they've sucked the fun and excitement out of it all.
