There is something other out there ?

    That's some strong fisheye.
    Setup looks nice, though!

I plan on getting a hardware synth. Just want to learn to create sounds. Already have a sampler.

I play Guitar, Ukulele and keyboard sometimes but I mostly sing :D
Music keeps me sane, tbh ๐ŸŽถ

What do you think about those monitor speakers? I'm looking for a pair, I want to get a nice and clean sound. Nothing too fancy. Controlled low end and clear upper end are important for me, but no pro needs. Just clarity and control! I know the very low end won't be the best without a dedicated sub, but that's OK.

@eeee i think for this price these monitors are pretty good (Mackie CR4). the mid and high frequencies sounds great but the low is not that bad too. i recommend it for home.

@Root thx, photo was taken by a gopro. i like these lens.

what if programming is also my hobby? :$

Yo, check out my soundcloud ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

My hobby is to code. Actually I am a localization project manager.

Besides code, I play the flute, a little bit of keyboard, love to take pictures and cook from time to time. :)

To tell you the truth, I do like too much stuff. Shaving using safety razors, walking through montains (what it's name in English? Hikking?), cultivate my peppers, woodworking, coffee and teas (know how to prepare, the difference between some subtle kinds etc), I like Arduino etc etc.

I am awful at most of these, but I like doing them. Hahahahah

@brunofontes it is hiking, but only one 'k' in it ๐Ÿ™‚

Musically, I'm a guitar player myself, I've played for about 15 years now but sadly I don't play as much as I'd like anymore ๐Ÿ™

I also enjoy ultimate frisbee an awful lot. Like... I play almost everyday... and sometimes multiple times a day...

I should probably focus more on my work... ๐Ÿคจ

I like music, but too lazy to learn playing guitar. Have one of those at home tho.

Cool tracks, man, I dig it. Very chill.

Mountain climbing, port & cognac, analytical chemistry, electronics, beer, carpentry, LSD, gaming, ketamine, hiking, biochem, porn, rocket engineering, mescaline, math, cooking, phytobiology, sex, piloting glider aircraft, amphetamine... and sometimes I write code as well.

I'm a nerd, but my brain could never be content with one hobby.

I have the same hobby! Just got a Yamaha MOXF8 for Christmas and now digging into GarageBand and relearning all the jazz improv I used to know before I stopped practicing for many years.

    @wokeRoach
If I can get a deal on them... Their price is entry level, but no monitor is cheap, so it's tough to decide what to do!

@trnktms Damn nice, your music. I've noticed how many people from Hungary seem to be really into coding and music.

I have a coworker from Hungary who is continuously talking about his rare electric guitars and brought a tube amp to the office, and two devs I met at a convention were also really into mixing & composing.

Gaming (trying to be a professional rocket league player)

    I'm playing drums :)
Is this Ableton Live on the screen? We use it for backing tracks on stage but I know you can also create music with it
  • 2
@toXel yes it is Ableton live. It is a full DAW or even more :) I like this because of a lot of built in plugins. Before I have used Cubase.
  • 2
@bittersweet thx, good to hear that! :)
  • 4
    @trnktms Ableton is my fav.

Coding and Linux, I also like running and skating, also hoping to get into playing guitar again

@SheShell we should do something together, because i'm way better at playing than i am at singing ๐Ÿ˜‚

@Zerocchi come onnnnn if you're willing to do a few minutes of exercises per day, you pick it up fast
  • 1
@ParkCity you are right. How much time do you think it will take for me to at least play a simple song if I practice around 20 minutes a day, everyday?
  • 1
    Ableton....
I write music in FL Studio :)
  • 1
I'm currently looking into electronic music production, any tips?
  • 1
I play chess and that's the only thing I do more than coding.
  • 1
@Yamemori I've looked into Hydrogen, Ardour and LMMS, they seem good!

Using a closed source OS is a no go for me ;)
  • 2
Sports actually (basketball and competitive swim)
  • 1
@Zerocchi i would just go 15 a day honestly, but if you're on a roll go for as long as you feel.

a simple song would be easy to pick up over a few days.

my advice is practicing basic excersises to build up callouses first though

    @Lahsen2016 @linuxxx
Or if you are a gazillionaire, you can buy a studio like deadmau5: https://youtu.be/dBiqFNNfudA
Spoiler alert: nerdgasms guaranteed, whether you are a music fan, graphics geek or computer virtuoso of any kind!
