Alright, so, https://devrantron.com/ is now 100% responsive 🎉 (even though there's no real reason to visit it on mobile lol)

In case you missed it, We also redesigned the page to fit more to https://devrant.com 's current theme 🙂

    Very cool!
But where did the statistics go?
  • 1
@Benedikt they were very inaccurate due to an error in the app so we removed them, we plan on bringing them back when we've fixed them tho 🙂

    That space hurts me

Also the theme setting is fucking nutz hahahaha

@dalastTomCruise why are you still at 14.04? Are you using some software that doesn't work on 16.04?
  • 0
@Charmesal *misread your comment feel like an ass lol* no every piece of software I use can work on 16 to my knowledge. ubuntu 14.04 is still updated and works perfectly fine. Last time I tried 16 it was unstable-not saying the higher versions are unstable now. Bottom line never had a reason to upgrade but eventually I will. In the meantime everything's smooth.

@dalastTomCruise seems fair. I was only wondering. I've still got 2 servers running 14.04 and I've had the same issue with 17.04. Sticking to 16.04 until it's necessary to upgrade to the next lts.

@Charmesal also my laptop is getting there in age so I am to suspect that it could be an incompatibility issue with the new linux kernel of version 16. So mostly will upgrade when I get a newer laptop and ubuntu 14.04 has support until 2019

    >> Makes desktop app responsive

@dalastTomCruise and by then 18.04 would have enough updates that it should be smooth sailing. Until then enjoy your 14.04 :)

@AlgoRythm at least he's consistently making everything responsive. Better than those "developers" that create 2 separate webpages or 1 but unresponsive.

@Charmesal Meh, I don't get the appeal of a responsive desktop app.
  • 0
@AlgoRythm it could be used for smaller, dockable Windows devices. But my point was that being consistent is key. If you don't do it regularly you might just not do it when it's needed, like a webpage, because it's not part of your process.

I'm not saying eveyone has this problem but I certainly do. That's why I never create unit tests :/ I should though

@AlgoRythm Yes, we DID make the desktop app responsive :P If you make the window small enough the sidebar disappears leaving just the rant feed.

@dalastTomCruise thank you! We worked so hard on that feature lol.

    @Dacexi
    Yay, the statistics are back!
But they changed a lot, didn't they? It looks like Windows and Linux switched places.
  • 1
@Benedikt Yeah the old stats were really inaccurate so we reset them but kept the old total, these stats are 4 days old. Downloads is total on github i think. Also, this is really cool: They update live. Keep the tab open and restart devRantron, you'll see them tick up :)

    Okay, interesting!

Yeah, I noticed the auto update, really cool! 😄
