It bugs the crap out of me that GitHub.com is not fully responsive.

Mobile?

Check

Desktop?

Check

Everything in between?

Nope nope nope

Also, if you want to waste a huge chunk of time, try to google if you can contribute to GitHub.com. 🙄

    Gitlab > Github > Bitbucket.

Bitbucket would win from Github on functionality, but their interface and diff are truly horrible.

Gitlab really has it all in my opinion, nice clean responsive UI, and all the good stuff for reviews, docker deploys, CI/CD pipelines, planning & issue tracking, scrum/agile tooling, burndown charts, etc.

Github's only advantage at the moment is brand recognition and open source community size.

The most ridiculous thing with the mobile site is it doesn't fucking show the number of stars the repo has.. In any way, shape or form. You need to go desktop version to see that.

I think they removed the official github app from play store!?

If not some one send the , official github app

The mobile version of GitHub is so bad that I stopped bothering and started using the Fasthub client.

@bcye Contribute? As far as I can tell, not anymore.

@Valeth same! GitHub and reddit are the only two 'websites' I have an app for just because their browser experience is so shit.

@CurseMeSlowly the current buibucket UI... it “works” on mobile only because of its panelled design... it is not really THAT responsive.

@williamli yeah but I count that's at least better than GitHub mobile UI 🤔

@CurseMeSlowly i think you need to login to be able to see the star and watch block... and once you can see that block, it will tell you the star count.

    (just tested it on android)

@williamli ahhh true true. Just tested it now. I just use OpenHub and didn't bother to log in from browser. 😋
