    They didn't show the third rocket xD maybe it missed the target :P
  • 3
    @mngr probably didn't made it :D
    But hey, they missed landing on the drone ship before :D
  • 1
    Gone boom with all the ship? :P
  • 2
    @mngr the ship always survived on latest unscheduled disassemblys
  • 1
    I know nothing about rocket, is taking them back to base a normal thing? Or this is really a super-fucking-wow-thing?
  • 5
    @mngr No, reusable rockets is something that only SpaceX have successfully done so far
  • 5
    @mngr they manged to land them before, but this time in an all new configuration, untested, using basically 3 rockets attached to each other, separated them in flight, flew the two boosters back and landed them simultaneously while the third center core went for a landing on a ship in the sea (hopefully made it)

    @irene why do you think so??
  • 4
    Center core is confirmed loss
    But elon said it would be a success for SpaceX if FH even lifts off and flys a couple of kilometers
  • 2
    @irene what exactly should humanity care about if not ridiculous ambitions?
  • 2
    You sure? Because everything now seems a lot more simpler and safer than 50 or even 25 years ago. @irene
  • 3
    FUCK YEAH! WATCHED THE LAUNCH FROM MY ROOF IN FLORIDA
  • 4
    @PaulTheSaltyDev Reusable DETACHABLE thrusters. The space shuttles we're already reusable "rockets". The two solid fuel thrusters were lost every flight, and I believe the tank was recovered in the ocean.

    @irene why does life need to be "simple"? I think it isn't, never was and never will be. Instead of striving for more autopilot we should take on ridiculous ambitions to challenge ourselves. If it's easy we're doing subpar.

    @irene please explain.

    @irene what would be the right thing to compare??
  • 0
    They fucking did!
  • 1
    @irene compare it to the dinosaurs instead? :P
  • 1
    @irene how do you compare humans to something that either does not exist yet, or something that exists but we don‘t know of?
