Our system admin just claimed that Mac OS runs on Linux kernel

    XNU uses BSD, if memory serves me right, so easy to be mistaken there.

    for argument sake, its not windows so it uses a kernel of some kind ☺

    You're right, kernel uses parts from Mach (from CMU) and BSD parts.

    It's "BSD/Openstep/Darwin/Mach/XNU/MacOS " 😄

    (now that would look awful in the designer box)
