The brits didn't steal words from the French, much of the British aristocracy *was* french, that's why vocabulary for things like food often derives from French. Eg beef is the thing on your plate from the French boef but cow is the thing in the field the peasants work with from old English and Norse.

For the rest of north koreans probably there is actually a regime though. I've never seen a fat north korean.

@atheist they weren't french, they were normand (viking). French (franks) are germans. Carolus Magnus the great emperor of the germans had 3 sons and the biggest got france, the smollest got bavaria and bohemia and the middle one got germany.

@cafecortado that's because they have a lot of gyms and physical activities. A strong body is an opportunity to serve the revolution.

@antigermanist they were the people that spoke the dialect Old French that modern French and Anglo Norman is derived from. The French don't speak German so I'd argue calling the people that spoke Old French the French is more accurate than calling modern French people German.

@atheist french IS german. We east-wallons have been oppressed by the franks (the germanists, the goths, the netherlanderz, the flammish, whatever you call them, i call them shleushleu), the brits and their colonies, and finally by west-waloons.
And dont get me started on the south waloons. No sir. -
It's written right there:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
The Franks (Latin: Franci or gens Francorum; German: Franken; French: Francs) were a group of several related Germanic peoples who originally inhabited the northern and eastern banks of the fortified Roman border (Limes) along the northernmost stretches of the river Rhine. The Romans only began to refer to these tribes as Franks in the third century AD.
aka they're just germans. CQFD as they say
Ya know how the brits stole all the words from the parisians (the "french"), so that some words are false friends and are exactlty the same yet means different things because brits and french are inferior kinds of being?
How a "regime" mean a dictuture in english but it means "diet" in french so when they speak about the kim jung un regime I'm like "ahah did he lost the bacon yet??"
