    Soon, an email pops in from someone who got unauthorized access to the systems, saying "I am the sys admin" :)

    Quite a few companies work without system admins.. some because they don't need them, others because they don't know what Devs / sys admins do..

    My company hires part time students to be sysadmins, and then fails to retain them when they graduate. You should see an external nmap scan of our network, it keeps me up at night.

    Same here. I got the domain admin PW twice without wanting or needing it.
