After using StackOverflow for years, it makes me mad that the devRant community hates on it saying "i get downvotes", "people are assholes". But when you go ahead and see those questions, the Poster took less that 15 seconds to copy/paste their shitcode with poor indentation, no context, no question, no expectation description, and no result description.

YET, THEY DEMAND FREE HELP and for people willing to help, to BREAK THEIR FUCKING EYES reading your non indented and/or non preformatted crap of shitcode

Listen here you little shit, if you don't take at least fucking 5 minutes to let me know what the fuck are you trying to do, what the fuck have you tried, and what the FUCKING SHITFUCK you expected to happen, THEN DON'T GO RANTING LIKE A PRE-PUBERT GREASY KID ON WHY YOUR FUCKING QUESTION GOT DOWNVOTED.

The problem is YOU AND YOUR LACK OF CONSIDERATION TOWARDS OTHER DEVELOPERS, WHO ARE WILLING TO DO FIX YOUR SHITCODE FOR FREE

It took me a while to understand that, when I started posting years ago. But once I learned, it was extremely helpful.

SO SHUT THE FUCK UP, BE HUMBLE, AND WRITE A PROPER FUCKING QUESTION.

WHY AM I RANTING ABOUT THIS, YOU ASK? WELL SOME FUCKTARD JUST POSTED "java - if(Plot Number == booked)then change the color of CardViewBackground color and text color Recyclerview Android", AND THE FUCKING BODY IS JUST A COPY PASTE OF A SHITCODE JAVA CLASS.

WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU EXPECT TO GET WITH THIS???

OOOOHHHHH BUT, I'M SURE AS FFFUUUCKKKK HE'S GOING TO CRY TO DEVRANT ABOUT HIS FUCKING QUESTION GETTING 3 DOWNVOTES.

Completely totally absolutely undoubtedly honestly full 100% agreed with you. I can feel you bro. I have been active on SO for past year and some people post so fucking stupid questions.

Upvotes and downvotes do nothing to help any community. The point system on SO should have been based solely on answered questions. That way people would avoid even bothering to answer half assed questions because either it'll take more time than it's worth to get the points or the poster won't care to confirm that you posted the solution to their problem. Thoughts?

On the other hand, one could say you don't have to give free help on SO. It's your choice to volunteer and help. If you're going to volunteer just to be a salty lil bitch when someone asks a question, you should just not help.

But you are still correct. I just try to see if what I'm looking for is on SO already. If not I find ways around it.

Well, in my experience, if I hadn't got many half-assed questions downvoted, I'd have never learned to write good questions, that have even helped others than me.

It's like having a good mentor. They will point to your flaws and you won't like it, but in the end if you're humble and don't take it personal, you WILL grow.

They are simply twats. I've had some edit my post and change it to something else, that meant nothing

This whole rant should pop up in the most aggressive way possible when you try to ask questions on SO

It's a different story when you don't get any votes, and a month later someone with the same fucking issue sees that no one responded and downvotes instead.

Well, I can't vouch for those last scenarios, but the hate is still uncalled for. I mean, 80% posts here are plaily stolen from /r/programmershumor and just a couple are actual rants, but I don't see any hate towards this platform.

What I'm saying is it's not perfect, but the hate you give is just stupid, as it has many, many, many good parts.

So many times yes! You're absolutely right!

Once I wrote a question regarding react js on SO. I wrote proper question and code. many people help me with problem. But some people are downvoted it. My biggest frustration is I never knew the reason behind it. If you want to downvote, at least tell me reason behind it.

OK THEM WHY IN THE FREAKING HELL DO YOU DOWNVOTE JUST AFTER I POSTED THE QUESTION??? AS IF THERE IS A BOT OR SOMETHING

AND WHY DO YOU CUNTS SAY NOT CONSTRUCTIVE WHEN I WROTE A BEAUTIFUL QUESTION??
