I think the founders of Google are likely very ethical people. They have striven to provide amazing services. They didn't even plan to monetize Google in the beginning. But once you get investors and more people involved, then the IPO, greed gets mixed in, and profits are what matter. The founders, to this day, spend loads of money on projects that make the world a better place. Google might have some shady ways of making its money, but it uses the money in ways so few companies do, and I admire that.

That's probably correct. But Google's tax evasion politics (just like many other major companies) is a disgrace. Earning billions of our society, yet nearly paying no taxes...talking about welfare fraud! @sheeponmeth

@Lukas Yeah, the whole Bahamas loophole is pretty nasty.

@Lukas the way I see it the money either ends up in the hands of Google or in the hands of various governments. Private companies don't take pull out every cent they make and turn it all into Scrooge McDucks vault, they reinvest it into R&D to create newer products or improve existing ones so they can stay competitive.

That or we can send it all to corrupt governments that don't know how a goddamned checkbook works while they wage more useless wars.

Guess who I want my money to go to?
