Isn't it crazy that we are getting PAID to do what we LOVE.

I fucking love Typescript and Next.js.

Indians can fuck off with their peasant Android and PHP shit. You get what you deserve nigga.

Also, why do babies cry when they see black or indian person? Something to think about.

    they managed to ruin what I love by association and I didn't even get paid well

    also I HATE that perspective

    because it normalizes that living should be suffering. which is super fucked up. you should feel lucky to have a job "you love"? maybe you should feel lucky you're breathing in my presence. you could not be breathing, you know. but you are breathing. so feel lucky. imagine all the people who are not breathing now! whoa! that's actually the most common state of every human that's ever lived! and I have stats to back it up unlike you!

    "Love" is a bit of a strong word. My passion is systematically being beaten out of me by all these meetings, stupid bugs clients etc, all the ever changing tech and AI that is driving is into a void of bad code etc...

    but yeah, you could still say that I get paid for doing something that at least comes pretty easy to me and I find it intuitive, so I can do my job quickly and effectively and then use the rest of the time to relax or do something else, and that's pretty cool. Though sometimes I really feel like I'd rather trade some of this mental work for manual labor, this shit can be really taxing sometimes and then anxiety can lasts for days and affects sleep so that's one downside

    @jestdotty But are we suffering? Isn't it joy?

    Have you tried not doing anything at all? It's very hard.

    Also without suffering, there is not pleasure or success. That's just the law of nature, not man.

    And if you're successful and living life without suffering; It just means someone else suffered for you.

    @kanyewest it normalizes pain

    I don't enjoy coding for someone anymore. they ruined it

    suffering is neurochemical. just because you don't suffer doesn't mean someone else suffered instead

    suffering is a matter of perspective. if you are in high stress with no way to exit it you will have neurotransmitters of suffering and this will degrade your body and mental faculties

    when you enjoy things neurochemicals are different; they make you adaptive, thrive, grow, healthier, better cognition, resilience to negative stress if it even happens

    the same activities do not make all people suffer. some like painting, masonry, counting money, breaking systems, dominating others, helping others, gardening, cooking, taking care of children, hurting people, etc

    the trick is you find what you like, get paid, then when you need to do an activity you don't like you give them those IOU papers we call money. this way we all get to do what we like and avoid suffering; because we specialized & traded

    The only thing that’s crazy is how people treat you as a normal person on devrant when you post racist crap.

    @Lensflare but deep down, don't we all hate when calling a support number and you hear that indian accent ? Or maybe it is just the 'we listen and don't judge' trend :D

    @Lensflare Me and you don't lol ...

    @Grumm what he writes regularly is way beyond "I don‘t like Indians".

    And I‘m not judging just by this particular rant.

    I‘m against censorship and everyone should be able to write whatever he wants.
    But I‘m surprised that some of the users here seem to not have a problem with this kind of crap at all and just continue to comment on such a rant completely normally.
    Ok, some users I know are just messed up and it doesn‘t surprise me that they don‘t see a problem here. But I didn‘t expect that many users to be like that.

    EDIT: to be fair, not many users have commented yet :)
