awesomeest126531dAlso... wtf do they think a semicolon is meant for/why did they believe that a period, was so wrong, it simply couldn't be used for this application.
I mean... i know a great deal of textual mandarin... enough that I have multiple reps i do business with use mandarin instead cuz it's simpler than clarification of some of their english... they use periods the same as we do... including in a numbered list like this. Ive even encountered the very rare use of a semicolon in mandarin... seemed to have the same function (but tbh idk if it's a natural language element or if they borrowed it/its usage from a language like english)
I know the numbers of all this manufacturing etc sht too well... so it drives me nuts. The money they spend for aesthetics, packaging, research of modern aesthetics in their targetted countries (most even have a full-time employee just for that)... but a native english speaker(not even transl.) For a few hrs of QA a quarter... nope. -

D-4got10-0174417d@awesomeest Well, Murphy's Law struck me.
No better time to have my main PC's OS knocked down than when people want something from me && when it's time to pay the bills.
Well, I'm a simple manual tester, w/ some limited bash experience && will to learn C++.
I consider your lovely rant a sufficient reward ;-) . -
awesomeest126510d@D-4got10-01 i actually have a large poster about Murphy's law. it doesn't really fit the decor of my bedroom (red brick wall panels on the bottom of the walls, graffiti (dynamically changing if someone feels like spray painting), etc)... but it's there until i find a more suited place.
I used to have a smaller, metal, sign.
.... it was well suited to the main in\out door when i lived in apartments.
it just said "never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups."... then, after over 4yrs at the same place, without even the slightest negative comment... some new, old man, assuming i reported his dog (it was loud and annoying af... which is why i didn't, the 4 other apartments obviously wouldve\did), said he was "offended" by the sign.
i ofc changed to another sign that wasn't breaking any rules but annoyed him more (You got PWNED, looked like a license plate)
ive always wondered if he thought it out enough to know its only possibly offensive if u believe you're stupid. -
D-4got10-0174410d@awesomeest He probably hadn't thought it through.
Funnily enough, I've just finished watching 'Married... With Children' && in one of the extras there was a talk about a housewife that found the sitcom so offensive, that started making waves.
/* Apparently she's never heard of 'changing the channel' method. */
People get offended by ridiculous, inconsequential things way too often. -
Lensflare1873410d@D-4got10-01 getting offended by everything and cancel culture is the cancer of the society today.
-
D-4got10-0174410d@Lensflare Had to google 'cancel culture' but yeah - very true.
Can't wait 'til enough people realize how stupid those things are, so we can return to the 'normal' state of things.

Oh china... just when I was so exhausted and annoyed at you... cuz i got behind and had to grind purchase/logistics/china-rel bs, to get necessities complete before your 2wks being MIA for chinese new year.
BUT THEN...
You had brought me this comedic gold in the midst of my sourcing woes!
Whoever points out my favourite 'precaution' first, wins.
...it's very rare that I say this, especially with my linguistics and algorithmic knowledge and exp making me easily peeved here...
But seriously, even Google trans with 0 knowledge of english, wouldve done better on most of these.
