Who says a dev doesn't go outside? I barely stay somewhere indoor more than a couple of hours.
Now that everyone is sharing their setups:

Well, that's actually because they won't let you smoke indoor 😶

If we're all sharing out set up...

Doing some scud weekend work because I have shitty clients and my boss is stressy as hell.

    Watching LoL helps though.

I was out beer biking today, too.

This !rant's pic makes me wanna drive with my race bicycle again. In the meantime, I got fat tho. I hope it will endure my overweight lmao
  • 4
    Nice bike BTW,OP
  • 5
I usually hop on my longboard and go down to the river with my laptop. It's very nice.

I would if I would have less traffic noise, makes me uneasy.
And if I had a battery that could hold more than 2 hours and if I had an internet connection for "totally not copying from StackOverflow" reasons.

Yeah, I like outside. But these are the reasons why I'm 90% of the time indoors.

I can't do that where I live, I'd be risking getting mugged.

    Moop

@nik123 I have always my tablet with a 3G connection with me for Stackoverflow part of my job 😁 hoping to get an LTE soon
  • 1
@gitpull it's my brother's. I "borrow" it from time to time
  • 1
For me outside is no option cause my 17' is way to small for serious development
  • 3
@noogli seriously? I do all my work in a 14"
  • 11
@epse I can only work with at least 2 screens but I think that is a general webdeveloper thing

    The grossest thing on earth.

I would rather eat dried poop. @irene
  • 1
    Setup is dope AF. @noogli
  • 2
@noogli I just make up for that with alt tab skills 😂
  • 1
@Bitwise @epse @noogli not a web dev, but I guess that's because web development could become merely a trial and error process, so alt-tabing and changing workspaces will greatly slow down your brute-force for your ideal.

@intromatt @irene I don't promote smoking, and I try not to bother anyone, specially kids and elderly with my smoke. It's just a habit of mine, and I might quit it soon. (It's a couple of years now 😶)

But if you still want to express your disgust with me: I just noticed my sock through the big tear in my sneaker in the pic 😅 The pic is for like three weeks ago and I still wear those

    I wish you luck.

I live in Eastern Europe where everyone smokes and I'm unable to go clubbing, visit restaurants of even walking down the street makes me gag.

I'm a huge clean air advocate and a part of AIRBG which is the local agency that monitors indoor and outdoor air quality (I even run an air quality station on the Black Sea coast).

So yeah.. Please quit for yourself and for me...

Plus with the money saved you can buy yourself a Raspberry Pi every month and pay for a cool tech magazine subscription.

Yes and get some fucking socks.

You can get cool colorful ones on ebay for about a buck a pair.

    @FinlayDaG33k

Not that many! I don't thunk any actually...

I prefer sitting at a crowded coffee house at the evening.
  • 1
Ya you're a good rep for most devs
  • 1
All these comments give me so many great ideas where to go instead of by desk or my bed.
  • 1
It's difficult here. It's very hot outside especially during summer time
  • 1
I just realised I have no wlan when outside.
  • 0
@thremedy it gets hot here too. It's 20 C now and during the summer, it could reach around 40 C. So I usually leave my wanderings for evening then.
  • 1
    @lucaIO I use my tablet's 3g connection outside
