so i just got fired πŸ”₯ πŸ”₯ πŸ”₯ because i wanted a 200 fucking dollars raise after 1 year of work and sacrifices and feeling like shit.
200$ because i live in the 3rd fucking world, working with a stupid motherfucking boss (you know the fat old tone deaf cunt), he's american, and he brings projects from the US from clients paying thousands of dollars, and he pays us 300$, and by the fucking way he used to pay us 100$ (we are 3 developers, a dick who does nothing but report our behavior, and a shit who does shit. we are a development company and we are the only developers and we got fired because he thought we didn't deserve the raise and that he sees no reason in giving us more money because we're already wasting the company's money and time).
So now the only people left there are the dick, the shit and the fatass boss who's in the states rn.
the funny thing is after we left by an hour or so we got calls from many other companies that we refused to work with because of our loyal-fucking-ty.
the motherfucker thinks we're conspiring against him, that we don't trust him, well of fucking course we don't, he lies about having a company in the US, well it's there but it's suspended (we looked it up), he says he's a microsoft, intel, adobe, dell, lenovo partner, and he's not.
well fuck i'm kind of happy that i left, i'm sitting with my friends in a cafe right now thinking about finishing our personal projects.
forgot something: the projects we were working on are unfinished, and there's not a single fucker to finish them, so he's ball deep in shit. hope this rant is relatable

  • 8
Have you thought about moving somewhere else if situation in your country is so shit? About fbi, you wont get much friends this way anywhere..
  • 9
@myss i wish, but i need money for that, and more experience, and the fbi bit is a joke

@lolicon definitely put some personal work on github and hustle the stack overflow and triplebyte listings. Find some remote work from a higher cost of living area and get paid what is cheap to them but is amazing to you.

@jeeper thanks for the advice! exactly what i'm trying to do.

@heyheni thanks! never heard of this website

First up, you are not getting payed well, but that is why you have the jobs.
Second up, he probably felt disrespected if you asked for a 66% raise. Nobody gets those. If you are lucky you get 50% in 5 years, with 10%-15% raises every 1-2 years.

Also, do you make that per hour, day, week, month?
  • 8
@Monus It looks like he's seriously underpaid. Before he got $100 base and $200 raise which makes it 200%. Sounds ridiculous? Not so much when the base is terribly little...
  • 6
@Monus $300/month, which is enough for food and transportation. no savings, and i live with my mom so no rent.

@ctrl-alt-del exactly, i was surviving, not living.

Format your resume (google resume/cv professional templates), not sure what job board is popular in Morocco (indeed/linkedin) works fine here in America.
  • 2
So fuck him! The universe just given you the opportunity to move to a better place!
  • 2
omg your salary just $300 and have fucking boss?? glad to see you leave
  • 5
@elgringo every development company here uses linkedin, and many of them are international companies who do offshore work, i sent my resume to a couple of them and waiting for replies
  • 2
@Floydian thank you sir, will do.
  • 6
I understand your struggle Iam from a 3rd world country as well and I'm working as part of an offshore stuff which is a fancy terms for slavery.
They pay us the minimum wage, with unpaid overtime and crazy working conditions. While I look at developers from 1st word counties and their life seems luxurious compared to mine.
We gotta keep our calm gain some experience and leave this shit hole.
  • 3
@laraNeedsCoffee and the people from the 1st world aren't even aware how extremly good they have it and moaning about irrelevant stuff. 🀨
    Good luck with your journey.
  • 5
@heyheni that's why we call it "first world problems"

Well I come from a place that $20 a month is the standard so I understand him perfectly.
  • 2
@n3t0cfg in your case it’s 3rd world problems vs really really backwater 3rd world problems
  • 2
@Monus People get 66% raise. Usually when they are being poked by other companies.

@lolicon what do you develop using language / platform wise?
  • 1
@Envydiv thanks for caring man! he's not gonna see my face ever again, i'm sure he'll have fun finishing the projects himself with his infinite godly knowledge.
  • 1
@kgbemployee it really makes me upset to hear that all those fuckers want great talents to work for them for little money because fuck developers. i'm sure the same problems are going to occur with any other company, but at least i'll gain technical experience while working in a "professional" environment.

    @Brolls a little resume :

    - i started with c++ to develop audio plugins (VSTs to be precise).

    - i fell in love with c#, and i went to finish the microsoft c# exam (my very first post in devrant)

    - so now i mostly work with the .net framework (i worked with asp.net mvc5 in the fuck developers company llc so good luck for the new graduates who'd come to work on what i left because they study web forms and basic shit)

    @lolicon for better web forms

  • 3
@heyheni web forms are great don't get me wrong, and you can use them with mvc instead of razor, it's just that using html controls in razor felt more like web development while web forms were an easy transition between winforms and web dev. hopefully this makes sense! and thanks for the link every resource is appreciated

@lolicon I’ve just started contracting through my own company, and may have some opportunities on the horizon. I’m a .NET dev too, so I’ll keep you in mind!
  • 2
@Brolls alright man thanks! good luck
  • 1
@kgbemployee i really love this rebellious spirit every dev have, because a lot of other people make their lives a living hell by being loyal. thanks for the advice!
  • 1
@kgbemployee agreed! i was a loyal bitch when i started. i really wanted the company to become big, but then again, my fucking ex-boss was a schizophrenic fuck.
  • 2
good luck on your future endeavors. I've been fired from shitty jobs before. Mixed feelings, but it can be very liberating and the dawn of better opportunities.
