my mom tried to do affection when I was 12. after a lifetime of no affection. it freaked me out and grossed me out. I'm not built for this, don't do that out of nowhere wtf?

also she didn't earn it. asked me if i loved my best friend thinking I'd say no but I said yes. proceeded to break her kid's heart, knowingly. no thanks. kept telling me how I have a duty to take care of her in her old age; I kept getting refeeding syndrome as a kid cuz of how well she took care of me, cuz she thought buying useless books for no reason was more important than feeding her child. no thanks!

I tried that and my mom pushed me like she was royalty. She doesn't hate me but we're not brought up that way. To her, words mean more so I made a speech at her retirement party. Everyone was watching and she got emotional.
