Any game developers here?
What are some get started books to read for game development?
I know I can google. But what is yours suggestion?

    find gdc youtube channel. binge-watch anything that sounds interesting to you, then the rest. =D
    read gamasutra.com regularly, watch out for game postmortems and design articles

    read whatgamesare.com
    it hasn't been updated for a long time, but the whole archive from its golden days is still there, highly recommended

    Sitepoint released a book really recently HTML5 Game Development: Novice to Ninja. The first 100 pages was about building a very simple engine from scratch using just Javascript and the browser.

    I recently became (more like was forced into) lead developer for a game development project (my only experience of game development was in XNA about 6 years ago, so I'm in no way a professional). We're making the game in Unity which seems to be great.
    I learned a ton out of their YouTube tutorials, can recommend those.
