I dunno, I imagine it is hard to understand the utility of git without knowing a programming language. but I agree, every dev should use something like git.

and PLEASE use Git bash instead of any weird GUI. It is so much faster and more practical.

I think you need be somewhat committed to programming before you start working with git.
