I made a small Mac App some weeks ago and I just made it to 8th place on the Mac App Store in Germany.

This has always been a dream for me 😁

I was the proud owner of “Minecraft Texture Pack Mover” in the Mac App Store.

Back then the Mac app didn’t work when you clicked the “open texture folder” button.

All it did was offer a drag and drop UI and then copy the zip over to where MC wanted it.

Unfortunately this apparently broke sandbox requirements, so it ended up being pulled.

Getting money in from “Apple” on my bank statement was a lot of fun though.

What wasn’t as fun was a couple years later finding a YouTube video of someone showing how to use my app, and the comments were merciless. They were calling me all sorts of wonderful names for “pulling” the app from the store.
