It's not fake if it "seems to work" :p

    What plugin was it anyway?

@xewl @DevNullStdin this is actually serious. They collecting user inputs. I might got fired just by install a chrome extension on companyZ's machine. 😨 Btw I'm using the top one.

Ohh holy fucks!!! hope it does not get to that point mate

For reference this one seems to be for now the only one that's not a virus or is being paid by big ass company fuckers to ignore some of their adds.

@sunfishcc I've always used the original Adblock, and have seen some fakes.

The only sad thing is they've seem to have removed the "Hide my adblocker" one, it worked 70% of the time.

Sad to hear you fell for a scam, hope there's not too much data they scraped from ya.

@sunfishcc to be honest...I've found thehackernews to recently spew out more unrealistic shit than in their beginning days...

@DevNullStdin the company who uses our products got attacked frequently, but I'm sure it's has nothing to do with me. 😳
So I removed adremover silently 🙄

    AdNauseam anyone?

@-vim- if it's no longer in chrome web store, it's a malicious extension. And I can't find your one now.🤔

@sunfishcc it isn’t malicious in any sense, it’s just that Google didn’t really like the fact that it smudges your ad profile. It’s available in developer mode and in the firefox store. Also, it isn’t blocked in other chromium based browsers

@-vim- Not really. "uBlock plus Adblocker" is still there.

    Unlock origin !!!

That is why I don't use plugins in my browser.

Just use a DNS list, to block ads, pr0n, gambling sites etc.

@D--M uBlock still works fine with me and adblock plus is a no go imo as it runs it's own fucking ad network
