"Chrome 66 arrives with autoplaying content blocked by default"
Fuck yeah! Fuck you CNET, Mashables and all the other retard companies that did that.13 -
The most absurd thing that I heard today ,
Me: open this XYZ.com
Friend: Should I open it in chrome or in Google.
Me: (Speechless)
Ironically he is a cs student.
Thx devrant.16 -
My boss is pissed at me for browsing devRant. So I've created Chrome Extension so i could quickly open\hide it.
Feel free to get it from Chrome Store: https://goo.gl/J05XhT14 -
Non-dev coworker (ndc) sees me using google chrome: I don't understand why chrome is so popular. I hate it and don't know why anyone would use it.
Me: what browser do you use?
NDC: internet explorer.
Me: why do you like ie better than chrome?
NDC: it does everything chrome can do and it's free.
Me: ie can NOT do everything chrome can do and chrome is free. You just have to download it from google.
NDC: no I read that chrome is proprietary software and why would I pay to use it when ie is free.
Me: ie is also proprietary software. Proprietary doesn't necessarily mean it costs money it's just not open source. Plus ie is not free. You paid for it when you bought the windows license that came with your computer.
NDC: no ie was already on the computer when I bought it so I didn't have to pay for it.
Me: it was included in the price of the computer but you still paid for it.
NDC: whatever I'm going to keep using ie because it's free for me.
ARE YOU RETARDED???27 -
If the Firefox Quantum is really good then you don't need to say:
"Chrome will become obsolete"
"I hope Chrome dies"
"Chrome's dead, long live Firefox"
to prove that it's a great browser. Fanboys always ruins nice experiences.14 -
Windows: Try Edge! It blocks 13% more malware than Chrome!
Me: Try using your brain! It blocks 99.4% of ALL malware!
*Later*
Windows: Try Edge! It blocks 13% more malware than Chrome!
Me: Edge, you are malware: You are an unwanted piece of software installed without the user's consent, and you make annoying pop-ups.10 -
Wish me luck, guys.
I'm launching Eclipse IDE while having a Chrome window open.
May the Gods of RAM be with me !8 -
I used to use Firefox few years ago, but people around me called me fool and told me that Chrome was much better.
Now I use Chrome and you devRanters are making me feel like fool again.
Lesson Learnt: Stand straight on your decisions23 -
"The CRM has this address wrong" - Client
"What do you mean? Where?" - Me
"When I start typing the business name it autofills wrong" - Client
"You mean Chrome is auto-completing from a previous typo you entered, and you're blaming the software? That'll be $100 for Chrome training." - Me -
Absolutely hate it when a random website wants to show me notifications via Google chrome. Go F yourself.2
-
I tried the beta version of Mozilla Firefox Browser.
I opened 10 sites which consists of social media, email and youtube. And I found out it consumes less RAM resources than Google Chrome. Not bad Mozilla.
Here is an article about it: https://thenextweb.com/tech/2017/...25 -
You know that guy that types www.google.com in the omnibox in the Chrome browser. I work with him... 😑8
-
First thing every developer should do when buying a new computer is to download chrome using the built in downloader
1. Just click on start menu
2. Search for "chrome downloader"
3. Click on the downloader icon
4. From here it should be easy :)12 -
When you spend ages trying to get your JS to work but it just won't.
Then you realise Chrome cached an old broken version...5 -
Best strategy for getting unstuck for me is downloading more RAM so that I can open more chrome tabs3
-
> System becomes Irresponsive
> Chrome is taking RAM
> Closes two windows with 60+ tabs
> Leaves 1 tab open
> Still taking RAM
> taskkill /f /t /im chrome.exe
> RAM is not being held as hostage by Chrome15 -
My first post................... from firefox.
Chrome has made me to switch to firefox completely.13 -
I noticed several people blaming the new Chrome update for breaking their CSS. From what I know Chrome did not "break" anything. Using browser quirks, experimental features, and deprecated code typically results in this. When you see a "neat trick" on a blog, Stack Exchange, JsFiddle, whatever, be sure to research what you are about to implement. Especially if it has a post date older than 2 years.4
-
I swear to god Chrome is becoming the new IE.
For some fucking reason it decided to add additional few pixels or margin to an element and fucked up my layout.
Firefox? It works. Edge? Works. Fucking IE - WORKS. Chrome? Shits the bed.
What the actual fuck, Google? Weren't you supposed to be the one working properly?
Not to mention forced renaming my local .dev TLDs...7 -
I never thought a browser will come close to Chrome. But wow, Vivaldi is AWESOME. It's really fast and the tab organization is just amazing.
I just MS doesn't buy it soon :|7 -
Dear Chrome/firefox developers,
If someone presses the back button after they click on a link it means don't load that page and not go back to previous page.4 -
So today I got a new CPU after the old ones were decommissioned. A fresh new desktop.
"Where is my chrome I think."
"Oh ya", I open Internet Explorer, type Google.
Google delightfully asks," Want to try chrome?."
"Yes sir I do."
-This one never gets old!!15 -
Chrome to stop autoplaying content with sound starting 2018. I fucking love Google 😁
https://venturebeat.com/2017/09/...3 -
Finally did the switch to Firefox and migrated my passwords to a proper password manager. Bye chrome!14
-
Chrome is making me refactor my js every once in a while!
She comes up with new ways to show me my errors4 -
"Hey, this Chrome autofill feature is so helpful and does exactly what I expect" - said no one ever.4
-
Really chrome... The highest ram consumer is chrome, and task manager is showing 70% of 16GB used... This is a good time to judge windows 10 Falls Creator20

Yesterday I submitted my chrome extension to the chrome web store.
Today it got accepted!
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...16 -
Formatted my laptop, download chrome through edge and went to change default browser and I see this..........
Microsoft begging lol6 -
Well done, Google Chrome, you ate most of my 16 GB of RAM! >:v
P.D. I said "most of" because of the memory allocation table5 -
Installed RAM 48.0 GB
Eclipse, Chrome if you ever show the slightest slowliness I'm deleting you forever!24 -
Keyboard key 'Z' is assigned as a shortcut for the app. Accidentally pressed it twice after the chrome 'F8', this is what happened. 🤘4
-
Nope, in my place it is...
1. Chrome
2. IE
Thank me later when you get a job here, probably shouldn't8 -
Scientists have found that If you just kill the Chrome process, it can give you enough charge to fully charge your Mobile Phone.2
-
"org.apache.spark.mllib.linalg.densevector"
In firefox entering this term in the searchbar tries to open a website.
In Chrome, it searches the term.11 -
I found a chrome addon that allows me to search webpages with regex. I've had it for a full minute and I already love it.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...1 -
So I did not notice that my google chrome had another window and I accidentally closed the 2 chrome windows in the wrong order. Now my 1st chrome window tabs are all gone. Stupid me 😅8
-
After seeing so many posts about Firefox quantum using so much RAM. I can say this
"Firefox quantum is new Google chrome"3 -
La me working on a new chrome extension:
- ok, this page has some hidden divs, I need to tell the extension to make windows scroll to the bottom while there are still elements with a hidden class
- creates a while(1) loop with a condition inside it to break if no elements with hidden class are longer there.
- happy with the code
- uploads the extension
- goes to page
- brings out developer tools
- goes to console
- clicks on extension on chrome
- right clicks the extension and then inspect
- ok here we go: la me click on button inside extension popup
- console shows some logs
- nice it's still looking.
.
.
.
- wait! Why is the page not scrolling ???
- looks at logs, WTF nothing changes in logs .....
- OMMMMG a infinite loop .... infinite loop inside chrome ....
- OMMMMMG my pc's gonna crash .
-stop please stop stop.
- wait! how do I stop this?
- tries CTRL+C ... nothing
- tries CTRL+Z ... nothing ...
.
.
.
.
Abort abort Aboooooort.

- Oh God, i need to do something before Chrome sucks all the RAM left.
- remembers the savior...
.
.
.
- Task Manager heeeelp me.
- opens Task manager
- chrome is consuming ~ 2 GB of RAM.
- WTF! Kills chrome.
Thanks for reading my lil adventure 😅5 -
From yesterday, I have made Firefox Developer edition my primary browser replacing chrome.
So far it's doing a great job. Its feel fast as chrome.
Some google site like docs or spreadsheet is lagging sometimes.
I still click on chrome time to time without realizing.
Let's see how far I can do with this experience.18 -
Apparently Chrome will no longer support installing add-ons outside of the official store by the end of this year. Not even in dev mode...8
-
wtf google chrome? who the heck decided that this could be a good idea??? will have to remove chrome from my circley icon dock 😔11
-
Tried to figure out why my computer was being slow and lagging earlier. Thought it may have been a bad update to the kernel I recently did, or an update to a package.
No, it was chrome and its horrible memory usage.7 -
Whenever I get dissapointment about my life,I remember the guy who using Internet Explorer to download Firefox or Chrome!3
-
Not sure why Firefox is taking too much resources. It's just one tab with gmail login page. And only one add-on is active (AdBlock Plus). Guess it's time to switch to chrome.21
-
I was using chrome + Android studio simultaneously on my windows. I saw 3 episodes of 'friends' while my Gradle build finished.2
-
Me: OK, Google.
Google: Hi, how can I help?
Me: Open example.com
Google: OK, which browser?
Me: Google Chrome.
Google: Sorry, I didn't get you.
Me: Google Chrome.
Google: Sorry, I didn't get you again. Just say the name of the app.
Me: *Looks at the list and finds Chrome (without 'Google')* Chrome
Google: *Opens Chrome*
I couldn't reproduce it as the. Latest version of Google Assistant now opens the page in a WebView.7 -
So I got this today. Running my Selenium tests in Chrome, suddenly frozen, closed visually, yet it was marked as open, with this title.1

Google Chrome, Visual Studio and Android studio are like a Gang on my machine.. they overtake however RAM is there4

Ah shit. Sorry grandma.. just.. use chrome9 -
Security Issues with Chrome:
My dad was just saying that his work wouldn't let him use Google Chrome because of its supposed 'security issuse'. Just wondered if anyone knew of any real 'security issuse' with chrome that are legitimate? Or is it all just rumours...11 -
Did you know, that you can just type 'thisisunsafe'? This will tell Chrome to skip certificate validation 🤯1
-
Am I the only one who thinks it's faster to enter in chrome://settings rather than reaching out for the mouse and searching for the Settings button when looking to change some settings?8
-
So saw that google released 'official' themes for chrome and thought fuck it, lets try it out...
Chrome will only use CSD if you use the default fucking GTK+ theme else it will revert to chromes custom icons...
Just how fucking lazy do you have to be for this to still be a thing?!2 -
accidentally quit chrome instead of closing one tab because of the shortcut is very close (cmd+Q and cmd+W)
found cmd+shift+T shortcut to restore tabs
feels saved
chrome restore all tabs
chrome stopped working
chrome quits unexpectedly3 -
Open remote debugger on Chrome but there's a bug on Chrome remote debugger. I can't debug my site because I can't debug a bug on Chrome remote debugger.1
-
Noticed how contrast between the active and inactive arrows in the new chrome update is so low that you can hardly make out if it's clickable or not?8
-
After switching from win to linux, and observing chrome process background behaviour for a while now I can with great certainity say it resembles a malware...2
-
Et tu Chrome?
Closing a tab should kill it.
I writes code, my code somehow causes an endless loop, tab gets at 25% i7 CPU.
I tells Chrome: "end it", Chrome won't close.
I wants to see under the hood to diagnose, Chrome unresponsive, forget about DevTools.
I Ctrl + Alt + Dels it
Sad Windows user4 -
Have you ever use the offline mode in chrome or set the data downloading and uploading speed.
It is the great feature in chrome. In that way you easily develop your offline site. Without disconnecting your LAN or Wifi connection.
Best way to develop offline site for developers.1 -
Just realised chrome almost has picture in picture working for videos... If you enable the PiP flag you can double right click on videos and it has an option to enter PiP... Come on please finish this!2
-
People who are shitting on a chrome browser for desktop because of security reasons, but using it on their phones - you are mental.2
-
Why is fucking Chrome still not able to auto-hyphenate on Windows desktop?! Yeah I know the dictionaries, OS integration yadda yadda, BUT:
1) TeX did this 40 years ago, this is a solved problem in CS!
2) Firefox is a 3rd party application in Windows, just like Chrome, and can auto-hyphenate!2 -
Well, this is certainly not encouraging. Get ready for LOTS of ads in Chrome and decreased performance.
https://forbes.com/sites/...13 -
I needed to log in on a website in someone else's pc and didn't know the password by heart. I thought I'd log into chrome, if I log out later, what could go wrong right?
Apparently, a lot. It facking merged my bookmarks, history and passwords with hers! And she had shitloads of them! It took me facking hours to clean up the mess chrome created. I trust her, but I still didn't want her to have my passwords etc.
Omg I'm never logging into chrome again elsewhere, what a frustrating facking waste of time10 -
for everyone like me hating the new chrome tabs style "touchable" that firefox dropped a few versions ago:
chrome://flags/#top-chrome-md
set it to "Normal" and you're back to "Normal" e.g. good looking. you're welcome ;) -
That moment when something works in Internet Explorer/Microsoft Edge but doesn't work in Chrome or Firefox...
On the left is Chrome, on the right is Internet Explorer.5 -
Install windows
Open internet explorer
Download google chrome
Remove internet explorer from existence
- this is the kind of hate ie gets4 -
Ugh time for my first google chrome rant... thing...
Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, finished an arch linux install, fixed my slow internet connection in linux, installed only the things I need, vs code and google chrome but fuck me!
Google chromes performance is sinking like a rock, dropping about 25-40% of frames in youtube, slow page loading and the sort.
Installed firefox to ensure it wasn't my system and its all running perfect, I don't like using firefox and want to go back to the warmth of chrome, anyone able to help on this one :-(8 -
Just subscribed to PIA for a multifunction VPN, and I went to test it on my Windows machine, Nova. Opera is my current primary browser.
Had Chrome open for a local web thing that works better in Chrome. Checked my IP to make sure VPN was working.
Opera: Obscured, good.
Chrome: Real, bad.
What the actual fuck Google.3 -
What browser does everyone use? I've been using Firefox and its pretty good mixed with DuckDuckGo I could ask for better, but people seem to love Chrome. What does everyone think should I try Chrome for a bit.40
-
Gna gna gna Chrome you stupid sucker!
I have some objects that I animate using JS triggered CSS translate with a transition duration. Why on earth would Chrome think it's a good idea to apply that duration also after the animation when I zoom the whole page?!
OK, slap a transition end handler on the object and reset the transition duration when the animation is done. But FF doesn't have that problem in the first place, and even IE works as intended!5 -
Seriously, I never understood all the memes about google chrome eating ram. I am used to opening like tons of tabs and my general ram usage never exceeds 4GBs. What is the fuckery with all hatred against chrome, someone please explain!9
-
Microsoft Teams logic when using it from Chrome on Linux:
Wanna have a team call with multiple people? Sure no problem, proceed.
Wanna have a direct call with one person? Hell no, we don't do that here!
Also lets just ignore the fact that you are actually running Google Chrome, you should really try out Windows and Edge.2 -
Fellow dark theme lovers, here's a chrome plugin to make every website have a dark theme: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...4
-
Is there any plugin/script for chrome that allows to automatically take all device screenshots and name them accordingly? (4k, laptop L, mobile L, ..) I don't want to rely on using external services and wouldn't want to write some quick hack with a chrome wrapper.5
-
Ok I see so many complaints about chrome hogging memory for tabs... How many fucking tabs do you have open?
I'm on 16GB of RAM and normally have around 10 tabs open and don't notice a difference...5 -
The newest fucking chrome update made image previews (and other dark elements in chrome) fuck up (the actual image is only the white rectangle, the shitty half darker tone is the shit I am talking about), I even deactivated all the fucking plugins to make sure its none of them, did anyone else have that and fixed it? it doesn't even appear in the fucking source wtf5
-
I still don't get why Chrome won't respect the password *autocomplete="off"* attribute. For fucks sake it's my goddamn website u shit brain! Obey the fucking command!!!4
-
So in Chrome, "resume browsing" doesn't actually mean resume browsing, it means "take a shit in the top right corner of my screen and kick it about a bit".
Must be satisfying to create a feature and know that 10 million people open it by accident every day and swear at it.3 -
Looks like someone forgot to full screen chrome after it crashed... It's it just me or has chrome been crashing way more the past year than it has ever been?2
-
So yeah, my IDE is open and I'm just doing my daily rounds on SO when my rig suddenly feels like it's melting from playing Battlefield in 4K everything max. Chrome! Chrome! Chrome! It thinks were married, taking liberties with all my free real estate. You are out! Hey Firefox DE.1
-
opening (and closing) 400 tabs/hour with Google Chrome means Chrome will now memflood all my 32GB of RAM in less than an hour now! ... someone call Guinness World Records3
-
:-(
Firefox doesn't map correctly the controller (Xbox One) but it works on Chrome. (FF on Android Works)
This is literally the first time (for me) that something works on Chrome and not on FF. (at first shot)
usually it is the opposite.
One point for Chrome (this time)
but still 6,022*10²³ Points for FF.3 -
I made a client who installed w7 on a macbook and used ie7 for years use chrome, so he i don't have to fix his website for Internet Exhauster.1
-
So I just woke up and started my PC, just to see this, guess Chrome didn't have it's coffee yet...2
-
To the guy who made the chrome extension for DevRant, please make a back button. Everytime I read a comment I need to go back at the top of the news feed, which is kind of annoying.
Despite this - great job and thank you1 -
Bahaha just found out that Edge is switching to Chromium.
Now Chrome blocking ads suddenly makes more sense.5 -
Open inspector from Chrome in front of your friends and proceed to deleting annoying ads or bypassing scripts like a boss.1
-
Comparing three browsers applying exact same style, ttb edge chrome firefox, where chrome is the intended look and edge the most fucked up one whoo2
-
Why is it?
My RAM 8 GB
Chrome eats it all (Talking the pun in it)
My RAM 16 GB
Chrome eats it all
My RAM Infinity
Chrome wait here I come
Why does it eat so much?????18 -
I've noticed that My system is not hanged yet when I opened two times more tabs in Firefox in comparison of Chrome.4
-
I hate Chrome Books/ ChromeOS. I was recently told that at my job we would be using Chrome Books and I am not excited, chrome os is essentially a mobile software on a real computer, the only redeeming factor is the Linux support in the developer betas.
Chrome books suck.5 -
Those anyone has created a Chrome theme?
Dunno if Im a dumbass or there is no fucking documentation.. I have seen old forums of ppl coursing google for making it so difficult (apart from the standard upload a picture bs)3 -
2020 and Chrome has yet to decide upon a standard style for they inner form controls.
This is a date field with:
- a blue gradient "clear"
- a gray-bg spinner
- and a transparent bg calendar dropdown
2020!!!! I don't want to use huge date pickers anymore, Chrome!4 -
Started using stock Chromium as much as possible, consumes much lesser RAM vis-a-vis Google Chrome.4
-
Opening a million tabs on Chrome, inwardly saying, 'I'll get back to you later' after briefly reading the first few paragraphs

Firefox Quantum vs Chrome - Round 2
I was prompted with an update for FF (auto-updater always fails for some reason), went on their website, found that part on the page, and opened up task manager. Had a short laugh.
FF: 7 tabs
Chrome: 2
Same extensions (AdBlocker, Ghostery, PageSpeed). Chrome has JetBrains integration though.
Actually 60% more use. Quantum Optimisations™7 -
Guysss!!
I have created a chrome extension to copy all tab links
And other window tab links as well. But when I was about to upload to chrome. It said, we don't give support to windows /mac / Linux . So the extension will be given support only for chrome os users.
I uploaded it.
So chrome users. Please take a look at it.
Extension name: JUST COPY.
please share the extension link with me!
Thanks in advance.4 -
Cleaning the white board after a problem is solved is still the 2nd most satisfying thing. Closing chrome tabs is still 1st2
-
So I and couple of my friends are facing this chrome issue where 'waiting for proxy tunnel' , apparantly it's changing my location too,
It should return .co.in and returns .ae ,
Wtf I'm scared as hell, for now Firefox is a lifesaver ♥️3 -
Fucking Chrome. I wish him cancer to die soon. Yeah, please fucking give me as event target svg element! Well done!2
-
Switched from Chrome to Firefox, and my CPU usage literally dropped from 80% to less than 10%. How is this possible?4
-
Just dropping some current experience here.
Content security policies are big mess in both chrome and firefox.
Chrome has some 4 years old "bug" where you can't add hash of JS file to 'style-src' policy to permit inline-styles THAT would be set by this script (jQuery actually).
Firefox is beautifully unhelpful, it just pops of error "blocked ..something..", not even saying what it was.
EDIT:
And I am missing a pair of some steel balls to ask about this on SO because there is this much of very similar questions, nonetheless -if I did read them right- every one of them is talking about enabling style attribute, and that's something different.
EDIT2: Chrome currently generates 138 errors "jquery-3.4.0.min.js:2 Refused to apply inline style..." , this ain't hitting production.10 -
There's this song on radio going like "Can't make a wife out of a hoe" and it reminded me of Google Chrome. 😐8
-
While I understand the IE/Edge hate, why do people hate Opera so much?
Moved from Chrome to Opera like a year ago and had awesome experience with it.
Is there anything I'm missing?11 -
Anyone noticing specifically chrome browser being buggy on the ++ button?? (-- is working) other browsers like firefox and Vivaldi (and edge) are fine7
-
After working with firefox for couple of days, for development, launched chrome, launched 4 tabs
Whole system become unresponsive1 -
A friend to chrome dev:
hey, what r u doing these days?
Chrome dev: (With pride) I work on Google Chrome Browser.
A friend to IE dev:
Hey, what r u doing these days?
IE dev:
I work at Microsoft.

Screw you Chrome and your security fixes. You wasted 3 hours of my life.
Hate cross-origin and the fact that requests to http://cdn.example.com from http://example.com are considered cross-origin.

Have any of you tried Firefox Quantum? What are your thoughts about it? I am thinking on switch from Chrome on macOS.7
-
OK. Why the hell is Chrome automatically signing me in after signing in to gmail or other services. What the fuck...8

Made my first chrome extension today. That's why being able to code is great. I wished I could make something easier, and I did.

Rant!!!!!
When you realise CHROME and FIREFOX needs different JQuery syntax to work with AJAX...

Is it just me or is it nearly impossible to get Chrome to dump its cache?
I'm curling a CloudFront distribution from command line and getting a different HTML file to when I clear the cache on Chrome. Firefox browser works fine from fresh install.
Chrome incognito also works3 -
Wtf
A website just prevented me from opening or closing tabs in Chrome by opening a message saying it was unable to connect to the server. I couldn't even see the message as it was displayed on the small screen I didn't look at.
It wouldn't even let me close Chrome!2 -
I just published my second chrome extension: mediumship! It lets you read any story on Medium. Feel free to try it out at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...

Those money whores of google at it again
https://9to5google.com/2019/05/...
I hereby invite all chrome users to firefox9 -
TIL Firefox and Chrome renders "word-break: break-word" and "word-break: break-all" differently. It just makes me hope that there's a way to force install Firefox into the users' computer if they use chrome.1

Google announced that android apps could run on Chrome Os as a native desktop applications. To be honest, as an android developer I'm too happy about this! Do you think it will boost up chrome book sales. Maybe, Chrome OS is becoming a mainstream OS? What do you think about it?11
-
CSS background-color is completely broken in Chrome Canary on the macOS Sierra beta. Unfortunately using Canary is the only way I can use Chrome on Sierra because of a different bug with Chrome.3
-
Hope you don’t hate me, but I have a confession to make. When I’m on mobile, I like safari better than chrome. No explanation, I just do.4
-
I fucked up my Chrome Dev-Tools. Why won't Chrome recognize my external CSS file properly on page reload anymore? Instead of filename.css:[linenumber] it is listed as <style></style>7
-
How fast is vscode in Linux? I'm irritated with time it takes to start my complete dev environment in windows.?
nodejs + mongodb + vscode + chrome + studio3t
So you see I've to start 2 electron based apps and chrome. Node js takes its fare time to start the first script.27 -
Google Play Music uploading songs to the library with Chrome is a cpu killer, it was at like 97% and laptop was lagging as hell
-
Why is it that Browsersync works so much faster and cleaner in Chrome then Firefox. I want to dev in Firefox but Chrome is seriously tempting me with it's faster refresh rate with HTML and JS.
Google I want to hate you and dammit sometimes I just can't. 😫3 -
Chrome handles CSS animation on an SVG element with 500 nodes like a champ with an SVG graphic with outline animation over it.
Firefox barely animates the SVG then has tearing issues when a part of the SVG leaves the viewport and re-enters. Annoying AF and now a changed design. -
Javascript autocomplete in chrome is so strange. I'll be trying to access my image variable and it autocompletes to ImageFrameWindowContainer or something I've never heard of1

WTF new Chrome devtools breakpoints faded away and put inline within the code and for every one you set you get extra 3 for free... ???1

Aaaaghh this google chrome is killing me, why you always freezing when i really fucking need you right at the time2
-
"Google chrome is outdated because it hasn't been restarted for a while. An update will be applied if you restart Google chrome."
uhm.... Logic is something different, I guess? -
Chrome vs Firefox ram usage. Chrome running 1 tab (moodle) and Firefox a blank startup tab. I was genuinely surprised to see Firefox using more than 50% more compared to chrome. Both browsers are 64 bit and chrome has perhaps 10 extensions while Firefox only 59

The credit card autocomplete function of Google chrome issues TWO bank statements each autocomplete. 1. -1$ 2. +1$ :/

Anyone else having issues with Chrome DevTools lately? Mine's been going so slow it's impossible to use.2

Quantum, Chrome, IE, Safari (the new IE), but wait... Anyone remember Avant Browser? I fucking loved that shit, seriously.1
-
Chrome has still not evolved when it comes to downloading things. I'm waiting for this 150mb file to get downloaded. Internet crashes at 90 mb and chrome does not picks it up again at 90. It again starts downloading from 0. Such a sophisticated browser and yet sucks at a simple thing :((8

Chrome drag & drop bookmarks stopped working

Anyone Know what the 'fixer for java' chrome extension does. How bad is it?
My boss had an extension called 'fixer for java' on her chrome browser. Now to me that sounds sketchy so I'm trying to find it online to see if the description or website can alleviate my worries about the boss getting hacked but I can't, does anyone know what the hell it is for, She's out of the office tomorrow so I'm gonna run all the virus scans but if i can get some information sooner that would be great.
thank you for your time.7 -

A birth defect of Google Chrome is that if one navigates away from a page or presses CTRL+S again while it is being saved, the saving of the page is cancelled. It was like this in Google Chrome since the beginning. This software birth defect was inherited by other Chromium-based browsers like Edge and Opera.1

I need experts in supabase please
Here is the problem: I’m writing a chrome extension with supabase. Whenever a user log in, they will get a session. However, with chrome extension, that session is not stored after you close chrome. I can store the session in chrome local storage, however, after retrieving the session, how can I log in the user with the info? I cannot find any documents on this.
