I have survived a lot of things but javascript is hell on earth. I guess I died and went to hell.

    @j-dev-o i love js. That doesnt mean its a good or concise language. Its the worst language in my stack.

    @sharktits I agree it’s not very concise, but I love how you can do anything with it. Websites, mobile apps, desktop apps ..

    @j-dev-o i can do the same shit with java, but i can code js on my 4 year old intel atom hackmachine that i mostly use for leveraging stuff while i use powertools on them

    Js with TrueScript is actually very good

    @j-dev-o also Codenameone lets one develop for both IOS and Android.

    I like it but in small doses. The language can get incredibly complex really quick and the number of things you have to learn to truly get it just makes it even harder. When people think that JS is way easier than Java or C# I have my doubts, which is why I still consider Python as the best introduction language, and Java or C# as a second language after Python. The bad thing is that the language is truly "forced" on to us since it is the language of the web. All browsers support it and one needs it to develop fast and modern sites. As a backend language I never consider it since Node and the language specs are constantly changing. Not only that...JS is sort of the wild west, everyone does things differently and not always the correct way.

    EcmaScript is great. Javascript just gets you in trouble with Oracle.
