My hands shiver after 6-7 hours of straight coding. Anyone experiencing something similar ?

How hard do you press those keys? What keyboard is this?

I get in a dreamlike state and can’t talk properly.

Not the same thing, but coding in a cold room for extended periods makes my fingers numb and stiff for a while afterwards.

Hah pesants, I used to play 6-8h daily. This means no matter how long i code my hands are fine!

6-7 hours of coding, or 6-7 hours of drinking things with caffeine in it?

@brahn not a lot of difference in both statements, is it caffeine ?

I do this at work and add at least 3 hours afterwards.

I use a kitchen table as a desk, so there 's lots of space to put my arms at rest.

If there's no space to lay down my arms, it'll happen that the corner shuts of something and then I get shivers, sleepy hands or uncontrollable movements.

So, I reckon you need more working ...

Caffeine overdose?

Usually my mind gets exhausted long before my fingers but it depends on what kind of coding you do, I would imagine that doing frontend for example requires more lines of code than doing backend logic.

You need a better keyboard + wrist wrest

Mx black is a bit too much stiff for me, and blue is too noisy for open office work. My browns are coming soon though

6-7 hours of non-stop coding is what I usually do...
I have coded for about 30 hours without sleeping and I just felt a little dizzy and had to sleep afterwards; But no shivers or anything else...

I think you have to sit properly and about every 30 minutes rest your eyes by looking far distances and your fingers and hand by straighten them for 1-2 minutes.
