During a recruitment procedure I was provided a IDE to solve some programming questions. The computer had a bunch of fuck all anti virus including avast, mcafee, it stopped every execution and scanned it for like 10sec.
McAfee fucking deleted the program for no reason giving a malicious code alert on a normal c++ program.

I called the sys Admin to inspect, guess what he did.

Fucking uninstall McAfee. Woow.

@Alice that I agree, even John McAfee failed to explain how to uninstall it.

Sounds like the test was how to solve the AV problems on that computer....

Well that's just a red flag to not go work for that company...

@magicMirror lol, I'm pretty sure that not true. They provide Web services.

@quentinl in their defence, the venue and the PC was handled by our idiot university.

@quentinl not really. The test computers are usualy an old computer (3+ years old) with all kind of crap installed on it, that IT could spare. Normal dev machines are much nicer.

Lol the irony. Even John McAfee doesn't use McAfee. He says it's shit. I feel your pain though. I seen that shit before...once I was coding a cheque/check clearing software for a bank in Kenya. The shit antivirus made me fucking break a screen because of anger from torture it gave me. Now Windows Defender does a great job actually. Anyway haha don't worry it's all part of a larger story, it contributes to your experience
