Anyone else feels devrant was 200% better before images and animated gifs were accepted? Instead of actual rants all I see are unfunny recycled reddit pictures.

Possibly a section for animated gifs off the main menu and not in the main rant stream. Can be an option if people want to default to gifs.

Some area interesting and on the mark. Curious what other devs think.

Images were allowed when the first version of the app launched... Out of the last 25 rants posted, 0 are GIFs... 5 are images and like 2 of those are original pictures I think. So no, I don't see the issue. I think you also incorrectly assume that people posting images would be posting text-based rants it image posting didn't exist. I would definitely disagree with that.

Also, just to add - we are working on personalization features and algo personalization of the feed so content users want to see will show up higher in their algo sorted feed. So that would probably mean for people who don't usually like images, they'd see less of them in that sort. And it would also take into account what you do like, the skills entered on your profile, etc.
