"you only learn how to swim when you're pushed in the pool, not by reading books on swimming"

When I was young I went to a class that was supposed to teach kids how to swim. Their method was to have each kid jump off the diving board into the 30 ft side of a pool.

I told them that I couldn't swim and it was a bad idea. But they insisted that this never failed.

Jokes on them, I dropped like a rock straight to the bottom and the instructor had to jump in and get me.

This line of thinking is what led me to sign up for a coding bootcamp. I've done tons of self teaching, but feel like I've plateaued basically.

So I'm gonna pay people to push me into the pool basically. Force me to sink or swim.

I beg to differ. I mean I have never swam, but I die filling a personality quiz on Facebook and it said I could be a very good swimmer.

I really learned swimming like this.
I don't really know how to swim but I can move at an ok speed and enjoy water.

Or you could like go into the pool voluntarily and try to swim...
