guys/gals, I need your wisdom. Especially from the ones owning startups.

How do you juggle between your project and work at some company (stable income source)? Accelerators, personal financers (mom, pops, best-bud swimming in $$$s, some fat guy in the neighbourhood, etc.), or do you simple multitask btwn daily job and your project?

I'm trying the latter but it's nearly impossible to do anything productive at home after 9 hours at office..

Struggling with the same issue at the moment so no tip here, sorry. In my case I like my side project and freelance work way better than my main job and I tend to slack off at the office which is bad. The other stuff doesn't bring in enough money though (yet. hopefully...) so I could say "Bye Bye suckers". 😔😣

I usually break down my projects into daily mini tasks which can be done under one hour. Abstraction, googling solutions etc take place when I'm commuting from home to work and vice versa (I simply save my research to Pocket), so accomplishing the mini tasks are simply when I have about 45 minutes to spare. Any issues are carried over to the next daily mini tasks.

It takes a while to get into long-term orientation with daily mini accomplishments, but it works (although most of the times I get too wired and end up spending few hours to tick off few mini tasks at once). Hope this helps!
