I really hope this is sarcasm, windows is without a doubt the ugliest os out, it's just so flat with the worst consistency and horrible colours, yes a fair mode is nice, no black doesn't belong as the main colour for a dark mode...

Even the Xbox one OS is better designed...

@JoshBent the dark theme now applies to the File Explorer as well. Until now, you could have a look like this in High Contrast mode, which wasn't really aesthetic.
Also, tabs in explorer!
And now your explorer can double as your browser. And Edge is actually good! ( Not that it'll replace either Chrome or Firefox, but it can stand on its own now)
Other little nifty things like the freedom to choose between PowerShell and Command Prompt are useful.
I love PowerShell, but a Distributed Systems course that I'm taking had me run scripts that can only run on Command Prompt, so I used to have issues.

@zickig haven't tinkered yet, will probably check on that after exams week!

@lxmcf I respectfully disagree.
Ugliness is subjective, when it comes to OSes, at the least. I use tools to tinker with appearance, so neither the Linux variant nor Windows build that I use look the way they natively do.
My initial impression of Linux was that it looked ugly to me. But meh, you can always change it to your liking. Gnome 3 is awesome! (Although that doesn't matter since I spend most of my time on the terminal anyway)

@zickig I think it's just his subjective opinion.

I just hope windows has sorted out the crashing theme problem.......before I update my build.

Is it just me that would prefer a dark gray color instead of black for the background color ? Looks awful in all black.

Penumbra10 theme still looks better...

So windows have a dark theme now. Cool!
