By the way, did anyone ever went to hospital because drinking too much coffee? I drink it, you drink it, we drink it, but I'm seriously worried sometimes about my heart and blood pressure.

Don't worry: coffee is an essential part of a developer's diet, along with Snickers and pizza ;)

About two years ago, in college, I had a huge project and was to do the delivery next day but had a lot of work to do. So I decided to do like 4 days of a complete insane sprint with lots of caffeine (coffee and red bull). In the last day I was so tired but can't sleep because of that much caffeine and can't work because I was tired. I also feel some bad things in my chest.
    Not worth it.

So. Drink coffee. But not to much.

@pneves Exactly what I was thinking. One mug is okay, two also, but after 3 my heart starts raicing.

We have free coffee in the office, but I would prefer free cocoa milk instead. The sugar is what I really need in most cases.

A friend of mine had to be rushed to the hospital after pulling a coffee-fueled all-nighter in college.
I think he either nearly had a heart attack or he actually had one.

    He survived

about 5 g of caffeine can kill you, meaning 50 coffees

One time I drank the equivalent of 8 redbulls in the span of 10h. Don't do it. My chest almost explode.

Mmmm.. I drink 7-12 cups a day (pretty basic Finnish developer amount), no problems whatsoever. If it starts to affect your sleep // heart rate, definitely reduce the input.

Avoid energy drinks. I was getting like 1 per day for a year. Too much blood pressure causes internal damage. It was my nzt-48, i got instant focus and kick start ma day.
But its bad so i now i get a triple espresso for good or tea.
