It might work but they no longer test or adjust for it so even if most works there might be parts that do not.

And there might be parts that will stop working once new versions come online.

Switching to new features in the browsers offer new possibilities, better performance or more stable site for unstable connections along with easier and faster development.

I have never used safari!
But I know the logo and seen ppl using but never seen IE Logo!?
