I am a programming teacher in a local university, I started five years ago, but in this semester I feel very tired, the students don't want to learn. I tray many methodologies and practical protects but the interest show by they is very low. the worst thing is that in anonymous evaluation I get good score but my objective is that students become in a great programmers ¿any advice?

My lecturer in uni was a very engaging guy and got along with students very well during lectures and tutorials. But unfortunately our cohort was filled with lots of privileged kids who were lazy and cheated a lot.
He shocked everyone 3/4 through the term by announcing that he was aware of this and had already dropped 30 students out of the unit and was seeking disciplinary action on at least 30 others.

I still remember to this day the mad rush that ensued... Fellow students who I'd never spoken to desperately asking for help for assignments and projects... Actually made some good friends out of it, they just needed a big kick up the backside to get working.

tldr; Don't be afraid to get tough on your students.
