Dear companies..

There is a fucking difference between:
-pattern recognition
-machine learning

And
- artificial INTELLIGENCE....

Learning from experience is NOT THE SAME as being able to make conclusions out of unknown conditions and figuring out new stuff without any input.

Even you can't figuring out new things without input. You will always have some sort of input! Even the "new thing" must be considered as an input.

    For example:
You get a mechanical toy you never saw before. Now you will twist it, squeez it, move it etc. to learn how the toy works. All of this is "input information". And in the end it will be some sort of "pattern recognition", because you know a similar toy, for example.

In my opinion your definition isn't an accurate definition of "intelligence".

@geaz the difference is that I can find my input by myself..
A machine must have given a purpose or a relation for something new.

@just8littleBit you just can find rhe input by yourself, because you learned how. Like the machines are currently learning how to do things. It is really not soooo much different.

    @geaz I don’t agree..
A machine is always limited to its purpose..

Auto correct and Siri will never read your SMS and jealously ask you who Isabelle is or try to extend themselves so that they can fly away.. It’s Not they’re purpose..

@just8littleBit who says they can't in the future :)
I understand your point and I agree, that todays "AI" isn't "intelligent" per definition, but I don't agree that "pattern recognition" isn't a form of, or part of, "intelligence". Because it is not much different from what we, as a human being, are doing everyday.

@geaz yeah, that’s also not my point. For sure pattern recognition and ML are an important parts of AI, but AI is way more than just this..

Whatever, happy coding and enjoy the weekend;)
