I became a programmer so that I could have the privilege of working remotely. So I am at home, my mom's place that is. I can never get in the "concentration zone" first thing in the morning, because before I know it, my mother and sister are having some stupid heated up argument about clothes and shit, and it bothers me anyway through my headphones -.-

Now I think I'd rather work in an office.

I have my own place with a home office setup and a river view, empty during the day except for a cat and me.

Just throwing that out there :)

I would give my left nut to be able to work from home. Traffic was a bitch again this morning!

Then again, being able to leave the house to go and sit in an office ain't a bad thing either!

I work in an office and my flatmate works from home. we're both extremely envious of one another... The grass is always greener.

Since I prefer work with short term contracts, I work from my home office, an office, and starbucks.

I'm part of an experiment where we are given virtual machines and an ultrabook. So I can work from home or starbucks. As long as there is a WiFi connection, I can log into the virtual machine and have access to our intranet.

I have the best of both worlds. I have a nice home office (no view though 😕) that I able to work from home a day or two during the week and also am able to go to the office when close collaboration is necessary. 😊

On the days I work from home I save petrol and time driving. I feel like I gain a whole hour in the evenings.

Sometimes I need to drown out the family, loud music through Bose headphones does the job.

get a pair of noise cancelling headphones
they might be expensive but the quiet is worth the price
