Person at work, staring at my keyboard: How much was it?
Me: The keyboard? Oh it's a cheap one for around $30.
Person: Huh... I'll never get you rich boys and your fads.

Well, I don't fucking judge you for your $600 phone, or your $80 shoes or shirts, you cuntwaffle. Fuckin' asshole has the face of a horse's left testicle, is always on his phone, which is arguably fine since he's not a dev but still fuck him, and has the gall to call me bringing my mechanical keyboard to work a 'rich fad'. Oh, that's rich coming from you. Ever seen your ugly mug in your undeserved branded clothing, you unloved, shit-gobbling piece of shit?

"You type so loud." And you breathe too loud but I don't tell you to stop but maybe I ought to.

Go suck on your daddy-uncle's chode for a couple more bucks and stop hanging around me, you judgemental cum-snorting piece of shit.

P.s. it's a cheap keyboard with blue switches but the office is normally noisy and busy enough that no one gives a shit about it. Planning on buying an Anne Pro sometime next month.

I got brown switches for me, they are noisy by the right amount, most people with membrane keyboards manage to make more noise somehow lol

You didn't even sarcastically remind this idiot about it? Aww. Now he feels like teh big boy in da office :(

@azous I know right? I've been thinking about either getting reds or browns but I think I'll go for blacks now.

@filthyranter I'm the new boy in the office and I'm hoping for a good post-probation evaluation so... 😔

I got black switches at home (the e sports ones that trigger half way... Weird but awesome when typing) and used to use blue in the office, but my coworkers complained... They use Crapple Keyboards and can't get the hype about mechs. Got browns now....

400cpm on them vs like 100 on the Crapple Kb... Best investment in my life.

@ilPinguino People normally don't get the hype about a mechanical keyboard unless they either type on one, especially if they generally type a lot. My dad and sis judged my keyboard purchase so much when I first got it but admitted it was really better and easier to type on it than a normal one.

    Also, fuck Crapple keyboards.

Yeah... I used to laugh about mechs as well, but after breaking two rubber dome keyboards in a year, I decided the time for cheap was over...
That was 2015. I haven't even touched a non mech since then except when repairing other people's computers.
And yeah, fuck Crapple in particular. Unless you need root on a system quickly... They couldn't develop a proper OS if their life depended on it, but security holes and backdoors is where they excel...

I've been on blues for a long time, but recently switched to gateron browsn for the office and it's... okay. Next keyboard I want to try Mathias quiets though

@Bagul I have a black keyboard in one of my drawers. I type a lot during the day (coding, emails...) and didn't get accustomed to the strenght needed to type. After a few hours I always got cramps in the wrists. Anyway, pretty happy with my XD75 with gateron browns

I get the whole breathing thing in an office, I'm one of those loud fuckers and I apologise but I can't help breathing
Also pretty sure I'm a loud eater too... 🙄🙄

@ilPinguino Same about mechs. I always thought they had nice designs but never knew the comfort of it till I tried one for myself, which was easily one of the best decisions I've ever made.

@quentinl I see. I think of myself as a pretty heavy typist but I mostly just wanna get blacks to annoy the shit out of this asshole here. Other than that, I was hoping to get reds actually.

@1nfinite As long as you're a decent human being, I can tolerate that, and I'm pretty sure most people would too. But if a person tries to get over my shit with their shit saying shit about my shit, that tilts the shit out of me.

@ilPinguino haha, I was trying to figure out what brand Crapple was then I realised :P

As I said in another post. I would smack you with your keyboard. Blues are just not something for the office. Use browns.

    Get Blues. Fuck him up.

Lol, u got me at chode

What mechanical keyboards do you all recommend? Been looking to get one myself but can't decide on a good one.

@azous I got browns too on my frameless... Just the right level of click clack so that my colleagues can here when I'm really tearing it up

@Yoda45 I'm using a Cherry MX Board 3.0 in the office, you can get it with different switches and it's only about 50 Euros.

At home, I'm using a Roccat Ryos MK Glow... Expensive as duck, but I like the hardware-based macro function - plus, it just feels good. I'm probably the only one saving VIM settings in there though.

    @oudalally s/^d/^f/

    Typo... :)

@Yoda45 I have a cheapo weird brand keyboard with outemu blue switches, I did the o-ring mod so they would be a little bit quieter. I'd say go for a cheap keyboard first - if you won't like it you won't loose a lot of money. The outemu and gateron switches are really good, don't listen to the guy saying to get only genuine mx switches.

Cuntwaffle made me laugh for 10 minutes

@seraphimsystems yeah, I love the feel too

@oudalally O-rings are definitely a choice but I don't know, man. I kinda don't like the idea of them. 😔

@Yoda45 What kinda budget do you have and do you type hard or soft? I'd personally recommend Anne Pro or Ajazz or Motospeed or Red Dragon (if you've got a low budget). Or if you wanna get a bit more 'brand-iness' then Corsair and CoolerMaster have a good line-up.

@thatgirl I've been meaning to have cuntwaffle trademarked for a while.

@Bagul i like it so much, i think i will start using it from now on :D

@Bagul I haven't really thought of a budget. If I find a keyboard that think is really cool and it was recommended by you guys (since we are in the same line of work) even if i have to save a bit i find it worth it. (Thanks for the suggestions btw)

Nowadays you are not allowed to use a mechanical keyboard at some jobs but, oh yes!, you have to tolerate those constant notification sounds and hipster background music from others.

    ++ for cuntwaffle

@ShahriyarRulez Search for Metoo Russian mechanical keyboards on AliExpress or for Red Dragon mechanical keyboards. They're both affordable and pretty okay (I use the Metoo one).

Though personally, I've got my heart set on Anne Pro and am looking forward to get that.
