I THOUGHT I JUST DAMAGED MY PHONE SCREEN LIKE AN IDIOT.

I haven't slept for 3 days, so I'm kind of out of it.

I was using my phone for a few hours non-stop, because if my mom sees me on my laptop she might take it away lol.

I had to edit my manuscript, so I didn't put my phome down, and it's really hot in my house for some reason even though it's cold outside (63°f).

So my phone overheated, and being the sleep deprived idiot I was, I realized how squishy it felt when I kept pressing my screen down. For some reason it felt good to push on it.

I know, I'm stupid. I kept pressing down until I snapped out of the trance, and realized what I was doing, so I stopped. Then I saw these distinct patches on my screen. Like when there's water in your phone, and you see these roundish splotches. Also, I couldn't move the screen.

I panicked because I thought I ruined the screen, so I turned it off. I kept it face down on my table, and read a book for an hour.

When I turned it back on, the patches were gone. I guess they were present because my phone overheated or something.

Still, that was kind of scary. I thought I ruined it.

    @ewpratten
    Oh, that would suck.

    63 is cold? Shit can I get some cold weather then?

    @Stuxnet
    Californians are weak D:
    Anything under 70 is cold for us.

    70 and below is a great day out for me. The killer days are when it's 90, just rained a lot and it's now humid asf out.

    Anything under 70°F is unnatural.

    @Condor 30°C here in DE.
    86ºF for the ones from the USA
  • 2
    17.2°C is an awesome temp tho
  • 2
    @Condor 28° (83°F) outside rn. 🙃😭

    Temps go nearly 45°C where I live. 😣

    @Michelle right? I'm in CA and am freaking out about going to a place with real weather next week.

    As for your screen THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN TERRIBLE AND HEARTBREAKING
  • 1
    @Condor aaah. Ok. Now I got it.

    @QueenMorgana
    Ooh, I had no idea you lived in Cali. :)
    Where are you going? Wherever it is, good luck with it!

    @lawzava
    Nope. It's a Samsung.

    @Condor
    Our whether is so bipolar. On Tuesday it was around 86°F (30°C) and yesterday it was about 53°F (11.6°C).

    It can also get from really cold in the morning, to really hot in the afternoon. And rain is unpredictable, because even if it's mild, there's still a chance of rain, and after it rains it gets really hot.

    @Michelle We had a 75° Christmas a few years ago lol.

    It doesn't get excessively cold here, but that's rare. It was honestly, the best Christmas ever.

    @Michelle Texas. Thankfully just long enough to watch husband get promoted and bring him home. But then they may send us to Georgia... 😫

    @over9000
    WHAT? That's freaking 113°F! That's like living in an oven. Where do you live? I'd die over there, especially since I always wear long sleeves, even in the heat.
  • 2
    @QueenMorgana Ooof that deep South heat. This shit can be killer
  • 2
    @Stuxnet mosquitoes. I don't have to deal with mosquitoes here. Or 94° thunderstorms. I've never been more thankful for a deal job lol

    @QueenMorgana
    Oh shoot, a friend of mine said it gets really hot and dry in Texas, so have fun with the whether.

    Georgia is a nice place. The folks over there are really friendly. :)

    @QueenMorgana Oh it's not just mosquitoes. There's yellow flies too. And a fuck ton of carpenter bees. And wasps. And snakes like crazy (usually).

    There's a reason I stay inside my dark room with fans going in full force. The humidity that comes after 90° thunderstorm will take your life. No lie, I once walked less than 100 feet to check my mail. When I got back inside, I was drenched in sweat.

    @Michelle I'm sure if we end up there it'll be fun. We're still fighting for Germany, though, while we're young and childless. It'll be less fun with diapers lol

    @QueenMorgana
    Make the most of your sanity now. The moment you have a child is when all the free time and relaxation ends.

    I had to take care of both of my siblings when they were little and it was terrible. Babies are cute and all until they start crying and keep you up all night.

    @Michelle 😂😂😂my thoughts exactly!!!!

    @Michelle The weather pattern you described to @condor is exactly what's up here too (:

    I'm wearing a jacket right now because of rain, 3 hours later I would need to carry it by my side, if I don't want to melt or burn up...

    But it's too humid rn, so that makes it worse.

    @Michelle I live in India though current temperature is nearly 42 but it'll rise upto 45 in coming weeks. 🤒

    Any double digit celsius temperature is tshirt weather!

    Sincerely, a norwegian.

    Why haven't you sleep for 3 days? Is everything alright?

    @shellbug
    Yeah, I'm fine. My brain just won't shut up when I'm in bed, so I'll just do some work to stop thinking. Thanks for your concern. :)
