Found a nice house I want to buy. It is at the moment in foreclosure. So, we need the documents for it, to see if it worth it.

Documents are held by an agency. They want 360 € as an annual subscription service to share it with us. Sure.. No issue, let's contact the court.

Oh, the court says they cannot give us a copy, we can just look at it. After making an appointment in person and driving down there. How is the agency getting it, then? After all, the agency promises access to all foreclosure documents Germany wide. They can give me a fucking copy. Court states on its website, there won't be any answer via email. I need to call them and go down in person.

Well, this is why the game is rigged. I have nothing against a service that accumulates all these information from around the country. That's a fair business model. But then the enshittification started and everyone else gets worse service so I have little choice but to use their service.

    You are right. Enshittification is a purely German phenomena. That's why Cory Doctorow constantly only talks about Germany.

    Corruption? People like to pretend it isn't in EU, but coming from SA I see it all over the place

    @BordedDev

    It is only corruption if it is illegal.

    A simple way of reducing corruption is legalizing corruption. That is also very effective, because it cuts out the lower level and therefore does not have any loss while trickling up.

    Highly paid advisor positions are available to active and former politicians. Positions that are hard to justify, but don't have to be justified because of trade secrets. E.g.: The European members of parliament are required to publicize their additional incomes. Except, if they claim that they signed a non-disclosure agreement, then they are allowed to keep it secret. Guess how many do have signed NDAs?
