@caolan Not sabotage it, but it will be probably merged with VS Code. Microsoft rarely has the same product twice.

@caolan I'm not actively searching for an alternative. In the case of Github I just like the idea of self-hosting, because of the fun it would made configuring it and knowing it's your own service. And in the case of Atom I switched a long time ago to VS Code.

It's that I left github years ago, otherwise I'd do it right now. (if the deal actually goes through)

@dontbeevil they tried to follow through with the same kind of strategy as i linked further up. They used that for Linux. I think it's possible that this same thing could happen to github.
