Programming made me fucking fat as fuck.

I went to Holmes Place after a 2 month no gym period to get counseling.

I have a whoppin 25% body fat and it makes me fucking depressed.

Fuck sitting in front of computers and programming for hours. Fuck snacks and fuck stayibg up late. That shit is bad for you.

Seems to me like someone is blaming programming for their lack of the ability to find time to work out and for their bad eating habbits.

@fuck2code I've got some shitty eating habbits and I almost never work out, so I'm fat. But it's my fault and one day I'll fix it. But that day is not today lol

Start with small stuff. Change all drinks for water. Calories you don't intake, won't need to be burned.

If you can find people that have good habits, you'll begin to follow them too.

No snacks, only your 3 meals. If you get hungry, just drink water, it'll help.

@Stuxnet amen to that brother. Today is not the day, tomorrow seems unlikely. Some error about an unsolved reference

@ODXT Correct. My dad lost 5 lbs in a month just by drinking only one can soda a day.

Im in the process of going down to two sodas a day. Slowly but surely I'll be drinking 99% water. (I still get nearly unbearable headaches from lack of caffeine if I go without soda all day.)

    @dufferz That's the truth ๐Ÿ˜‚

Keeping things balanced is difficult but you'll figure it out eventually

@fuck2code The hot tea that's basically an alternative to coffee? Or sweet tea?

Either way, tried both; don't really like either of them lol. Sweet tea is only good if it's really sweet and idk just not a huge fan of coffee or tea.

Maybe try intermittent fasting, it's a little hard to get used to but you'll feel gr8, clear and sharp the whole day

Makes me think of this person who used to complain about a heath issue and why it made her fat.

    That could be legit.

But one day she opened her laptop and it was dirty as fuck. And im like “eeeewwww wtf?”

She like: “meh dont worry๏ผŒ thats just the grease feom the chilen i ate last night in bed while typing on my computer.”

    Ho.

That was that health issue you were talking about earlier.

@Santaclauze Oh my god I remember this rant!

Still makes me shudder thinking about that

Driving everywhere and sitting still all day means you don't get 'free' exercise and I can sympathise with that. But once you are aware of the cause of the problem you can fix the problem. You will either need to make time or you will need to sneak it in. I had a colleague replace part of his commute by biking. He lived too far to do it all but he did part of it and he got fitter and happier while still having convenience.

Legit am skinny as hell. Programming and sitting in front of a computer have nothing to do with you getting fat besides the fact you kept eating.

*EDIT* Also, I stay up 'til 3-4 in the morning most nights.

Standing desks, simple push ups and have a schedule. Plus learning new tools to save time. Programming is not the problem.

@Chlodovechus Thanks for the reminder. I will hit the gym later then do some work/coding/studying. Gym then doing any work related is really good. It keeps you pumped up. Yeah I'm s kinda muscular with dad bod/overweight so I really need to focus haha

Measuring your body fat is bad for you.
