@Stuxnet I am interested in software projects but the HOD has made compulsory for hardware (electronics branch) so a mixture of both is what i am looking for

In which areas do you have experience in electronics?

If you want a power electronics project, maybe an induction heater? For embedded electronics, a weather station with wireless temperature/humidity/whatever sensors?

Go around different industries asking if they have any projects. BHEL, NTPC etc have projects ready for students usually.
