I have alot of respect for the programmers that came before stack overflow lol not even joking.

If you go back, you'll find a lot of it was quite a lot less inspired or 'mature'. People used whatever worked for them. A lot of shitty code was written though.

Still, kudos to the people that struggled through figuring it out like that.
