Just tried physically removing the RAM of my PC while playing a YouTube video on Linux and on Windows. What do you think, what was the difference?

    The win 10 started updated and you weren't able to remove any physically component because of "new" win 10's feature

    Wich keeps the ram locked until the updated finishes?

    Idk

    I thought it would freeze, but in both cases my PC went off. I just can't understand how could it show any error message like @Clear0Ff said? There is no memory to do that, isn't it?

    @martikyan well ... i know the pc doesn't start without ram but i thought it will give an memory error or something

    @martikyan
    Maybie if you have two sticks and remove one, you can get an error message?

    @lines I'll try it next time

    The OS was different
    The amount of RAM was different
    The amount of RAM slots were different
    Windows became blue, Linux stuttered and became black.

    ... :p

    @martikyan if you take out ram from slot one, system just switches off otherwise an error message.

    (If you have installed 2 or more sticks)
