Im seriously thinking about Watercooling my Raspberry Pi 3...
Why?
BRCAUSE THIS LIL SHIT RUNS SO FUCKING HOT THAT I CAN MAKE AN EGG ON IT! THATS WHY!

Its 80°C when under little load BUT GOES OVER FUCKING 90°C ON LOAD! AND THIS IS FUCKING DANGEROUS! FUCK!

so back to watercooling...
Its a Stupid idea, I know, but its literally THE ONLY FUCKING WAY TO COOL THIS BASTARD! And trust me I tried Novec (Yes the liquid that evaporates at 60°C...) and SHITS EXPENSIVE!

    Fun fact: our R&D dept used to do Google Glass demos and they literally had to keep it in a fridge between sessions.

    Just put it in the fridge

    Did you put the lil custom heat sinks on it?

    I use this fan

    Keeps it below 40°
    At 30 - 70% cpu usage

    @Clear0Ff Looks __a lot__ better than my custom solution! I have a cronjob running smth like this:

    if(pi.getCPU().isBoilingHot())
    fan.doSomething()

    Do you have a better, publicly available program for that?

    @ruhe actually yours is better
    And no, mine just runs!

    @Clear0Ff Thanks for the appreciation!

    @samm yea just buy it’s own mini fridge and drill holes in the door for the cables. Use a lil silicone caulk to seal it up. And I mean it can share the fridge with some beer lol

    I think you can submerge in non conductive oil? Google it. Do it. Tell me what happens.

    Worst scenario you have a very slow deep fat frier.

    @craig939393 my uni has a full Pc in mineral oil. Basically had a full water cooling system but the board and cpu were all in an aquarium. Pretty tight. Would definitely like to see it in a fish bowl with a pi.
