My fiance is also a developer, we moved to a bigger city and she is looking for a job. She lost all motivation and doesn't want to look at any code anymore... Not even my freelance projects.. Does anyone have any motivational things to say? She doesn't use devrant, but i'll show her this post.

What is making her feel this way? Is the job hunting? New city?

Could it be the temporary depression from moving? Maybe give her a break from anything related to programming and let her have some fun in the city. Maybe the two of you can go shopping or visit some shows.

Burned out is a reality we all face time and time again. That’s what vacations are for. Perhaps she outgrew her skill set and is ready for a bigger challenge. She should take a break, then jump into a small project to get her feet wet again.
