Just encountered this a few minutes ago, was going to rant about it but, BAM! Someone already posted a rant about it.

The captcha thingy really sucks.

@sain2424 Well, I haven't come across a lot of captchas myself, but experiencing it for a couple of times makes me frustrated so I cannot imagine what you've been through.

What bugs me the most about those captchas is that they are pure american. Take the busses for instance. Not a single fucking bus around here looks like that yellow monstrosity that's used in the US. Storefronts and other objects as well might (and do) look different in other parts of the world, and unless you watch enough US/Hollywood stuff on TV or something.... you are obviously a robot.

I'm not saying it is difficult to figure it out, it just fucking annoys me that the Big IT sees the world as American only.

@Hakash When you are an American company you default to the familiar, just like everyone else does. (Localization of images is often very low priority, valid reasons or not)

Captchas always screw me the first time.

@Hakash last time it asked to select street signs, i selected. Got error. Maybe they meant street sign stands as well. Old captcha was better.

Captcha web managers are as fuzzy as the images they torture us with. They are also sadistic-- would a normal person ask me to identify all cars in a series of images and then include 2 images with cars and one with what may be a pickup truck? It's not supposed to be an intelligence test--it is a security test. F..k Captcha.
