Is the devRant sticker big enough to fully cover my illuminated Mac book apple logo? Is it thick enough to block the light? If so, I may have to get one of those... Not feeling to proud of Apple lately.

    @Lisanna I am wondering the same.

    Built an annoying sandbox of trashy apps and did everything they could to keep progressive web apps down. Generally more interested in in-app purchases than helping developer jump their hurdles. Safari has fallen behind... Just some things... I still love the physical design...

    @sheriffderek You act like this is as bad as Windows 10.

    @noonesboy I don't use Windows unless I'm showing my dad how to zero his inbox, but I'm feeling like it's moving in that direction for sure. I'm excited for new I ovation and new companies.

    I was never an Apple person, but I am quite sure once read this hack someplace online to turn that chauvinistic Apple logo on the back of the LCD off.

    @flag0 I don't think there's been a better moment to do that...

    Anyway the size of the sticker is about 6x6 cm

    @codeRetard I don't think you can. Isn't it using the same light as your screen backlight
  • 1
    @codeRetard I always thought it was lit by the LEDs for the screen itself.

    @flag0 I will never go Windows, but I don't have to necessarily be proud of Apple. : )

    @noonesboy it's a saperate LED. that's why it has those fancy effects and why the Macbook doesn't have it. you can disable it. it's controlled by OS after boot is completed where you can disable it

    @flag0 interesting. Didn't know. I've never noticed fancy effects- what do you mean?

    @noonesboy the breathing effect in stock. but you can make it flicker, turn it off or just do whatever you want it to. you need to download mods though.
