None of my laptops have one. I keep an external around to rip Blu-rays.

It's pretty much a dead format in my opinion.

I have one on my laptop that doesn't work for some reason so if I want to read a disk I have to get my xp machine out

I had in my laptop, but i disconnected it and bought a caddy to connect one more hard drive :)

It's been 3 years and i didn't even need it once.

I'm sad I don't have a floppy disk anymore, had one until two years ago. Optical drive is still in this PC.
